A Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Open Beta Could Come to PS4 Soon

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will be fully revealed inside Call of Duty: Warzone this coming Wednesday and it might not be too long before you can sample the next entry in the blockbuster franchise for yourself. Dataminers have uncovered new references to an open beta inside the Battle Royale shooter's files, and given Sony's marketing deal with the brand, you have to assume that a pre-launch test on PlayStation 4 is on the cards. Pre-ordering the game will probably even net you early access.

There's more to this datamine than just an open beta though, as COD Tracker reports. Certain editions of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will be packaged with a Woods Operator Pack for use in both Warzone and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Frank Woods is, of course, one of the main characters from previous Black Ops titles. Alongside that, references to a "Confrontation Weapons Pack", "Land, Sea and Air Pack", and a Battle Pass bundle for Season One of the upcoming FPS were also uncovered.
