According to reliable information which has been shared by the likes of Eurogamer and Video Games Chronicle, this year's Call of Duty game will be teased inside Activision's Battle Royale behemoth Call of Duty: Warzone. This is being done through various updates to the map, and VGC now states that these overhauls will continue with Season Five.
The site claims that the Verdansk map will be updated in early August with a train housing loot that travels across the map alongside the opening of the Stadium area to include an interior. The former is already a feature in Apex Legends while the latter will provide players with another location to battle for first place. This sort of teasing started back in May when it was reported that Call of Duty: Warzone's bunkers hinted at a Cold War setting for the next iteration of the blockbuster franchise. At the time, Eurogamer reported that the game in question would be titled Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, but more recently, a shortened version of the name leaked through key art.
Whatever name Activision decides to go with, it is becoming clear that Call of Duty: Warzone will play a large part in its reveal with the next update arriving in roughly a month's time. Are you still playing the Battle Royale shooter? Drop into the comments below.

I actually am still playing warzone from time to time, its take on the battle royal genre is quite good.
They definitely need to do something with that map it's getting a bit stale now
I'm playing Juggernaut Royal...... 🙃🤔
I hope the stadium has a lot of bathrooms, because that's the kinda place where me and my buddy like to hide until the match is over (once we've geared up, of course).
They should nuke the city and make it post apocalyptic
