Need for Speed Heat PS4

Last year's Need for Speed Heat wasn't the greatest return to form, but it did just enough to scrape a 7/10 in the Push Square review. It's a pretty good game, although developer Ghost Games will be taking more of a backseat for the franchise's next racing iteration as Criterion Studios heads up production. What's more, EA has now confirmed that the next Need for Speed title is in active development.

We have to assume that this will at the very least be a cross-gen game which comes to PlayStation 5 -- an experience which will build off of Need for Speed Heat. "Since the launch of Need for Speed Heat and as players continue to tear it up in Palm City, we’re listening to what you love about this experience, and what you all believe could be even better. With these insights, we have a terrific foundation to create the most expressive, most socially connected, action-packed game yet for Need for Speed fans and beyond."

Better yet is the fact that Heat will support cross-play functionality from tomorrow. That means you can start racing against other players on PC and Xbox One. The game will also be coming to EA Access on 16th June, allowing active subscribers to take to the streets at no extra cost.
