Sony's official PlayStation 5 page has been updated again. The last update came in March, following Mark Cerny's in-depth talk. The PS5 page now features three bullet points about the next-gen system:
Lightning speed
Harness the power of a custom CPU, GPU, and SSD with Integrated I/O that rewrite the rules of what a PlayStation console can do.Stunning games
Marvel at incredible graphics and experience new PS5™ features.Breathtaking immersion
Discover a deeper gaming experience with support for haptic feedback, adaptive triggers and 3D Audio technology.
Obviously these bullet points don't tell us anything new, but the simple fact that the site has been altered already has fans talking about incoming announcements. And to be fair, such speculation isn't unfounded -- official sites like this tend to be tampered with when the corporate cogs are turning. It could well be that Sony is gearing up for the big reveal.
What's more, with The Last of Us: Part II's State of Play set for tomorrow (at the time of writing), it does kind of feel like Sony is making way for the PS5. After all, rampant rumours still reckon that the console's reveal is happening in June. Let's hope that this update is a sign that something's about to happen. Finally.
Do you think the PS5 event is imminent? Can you feel it in the air? Tell us that you're tired of speculating in the comments section below.

CHOO CHOO BOYS WE'LL BE EATING GOOD SOON
Credit card is ready, whenever they are
I believe the reveal is next week personally
A bit concerned not one of the main features listed mention stability...
I just pre-ordered the limited edition TLOU2 ps pro, but the PS5 is still a day one purchase for me.
They’ll announce the event after the Last of Us stream mark my words. The event most likely be next week.
Games, games, and more games.
It’s a box. It plays games.
@mikeym that's a future update.
@nessisonett laugh if it was a circle .
I knew we d get something PS5 today. That's it. I feel better.
@Glennh73 I've been wondering if they're ashamed of how it looks. I mean, what if it's shaped like a penis?
If the PS5 is shown in June it will not be late, slow, or early. It will be the same month when PS4 was revealed.
@Rob_230 Why do you think that?
@mikeym It's not mentioned because that's what they are aiming for, or well...what most tech developers aim for really.
@LightingThor Hopefully it's true. I think most of us have waited long enough personally.
@TrueAssassin86x something along those lines, but I’m pretty sure we’re almost there.
@InsertUsername Yeah it’s a long wait but it’s going to be worth it.
@nessisonett
It's obviously gonna be a trapezoid!!......

This... 💀😴🙄
That whould be awesome. We need some PS5 news
You're all setting yourselves up for some angry disappointment.
@Glennh73 The problem with the games sphere is that if you don’t buy a stand it tends to roll away.
A delayyed release is fine, with low supply and high demand, its going to be impossible for me to get it anyway.
But heading to June with 0 info is really annoying
YAWN! Hurry up!
While more we get these nonspecific informations, then more I'm convinced that Sony will have reveal of ps5 on a day before its release.
I can't wait to get my pre-order in, even if I have to queue up in a hazmat suit I will be getting one at launch! To be fair though I am more hyped for GOT, TLOU2 & Cyberpunk at this stage.
Early june ps5 reveal hype!! 😃
Hopefully we shall see it soon! I am ready!
I think it will be one of the greatest machine. Regardless shape or color. I believe they (Sony) will come with a big surprise, they been to quite. Just my personal opinion
. 😜
@nessisonett How did you get this info? You on the inside??? 😂
The design of that website is giving a clear hint to the colour scheme of the console too. Looks like, as with the dualsense, we are getting a two-tone machine this time around

This one makes mention of PS4 back-compat being similar to how Xbox One does it with 360 now.
