Sony first launched Days of Play as a celebration to coincide with E3, but seeing as it doesn’t even attend the annual convention anymore, it’s transformed into more of a summer promotion for the platform holder. It’s been historically successful, too, driving huge hardware and software sales. And it all looks set to return on 25th May.
Eagle-eyed Reddit users have spotted some advertising material for the 2020 incarnation of the event, with annual PS Plus subscriptions set to secure a 30 per cent reduction. There’s no other information on the flyer, although it looks like the discounts will end on 8th June. Expect deals on first-party titles, as well as accessories, like DualShock 4 controllers.
We’ll contact the platform holder and see if it’s ready to share any further details with us.

Oh? This should be good. My PS4 is the 2018 Days of Play version, sadly the the 500 Million edition was sold out later that year. If this year’s edition looks good I just might go for it.
Exactly on my payday, I see what you're doing Sony 😉
I’m hoping for a nice deal on a new PS4 slim, I need a new one by June 19!
First rumor I've believed all year.
Cripes, only 2 months before the furlough scheme ends (for me at least, as I doubt my company is going to contribute toward me not working).
As much as I want to buy a lot of games, I'm just gonna get GOW thanks to my bad friend Covid.
I'm sure it'll be $10-15 right?
Hope there is a price drop on a PS4. Last time was what, 3 years ago for the gold ps4 slim for a week?
Forgot all about days of play. Hopefully a deep discount on days gone! Im subbed up to plus through 2021 so probably wont be getting another top up just yet
PSVR needs to price drop as well to push sales further. I don't think there'll be a PSVR2 anytime soon maybe 2 years or so after PS5 launches.
@RawnDawn
Download code has been cheap on Cdkeys for a while....well $10

I'm hoping to pick up a cheaper Duslshock soon, mine is feeling a bit too used.
Yeah not looking to buy any hardware this close to a new console launch, plus got two exclusives to look forward to so doubt will pick up any games. Might pick up a plus or now sub if they are discounted enough.
Hoping for a PSVR deal; want one but the only one regularly available is the Mega Pack 2 for £300 and I don’t care for the majority (if any of the games) bundles with it.
@ArmyofOne same here thinning out my ps4/switch collection for a ps5 fund.
Move controllers please!
If the price on PS Plus is good, might treat myself and add a couple of years.
Going to stack up for another 2 years of ps plus if will find a good deal online. Wasn't it last year when it was 40% from some retailer
@Spoonman-2 Thanks for the heads up!
Might go for it.
Awesome. Will definitely be looking to pick up Days Gone and Horizon Zero Dawn.
Hopefully there’s deals on PSVR! I wanna snag one up but at the same time wanna wait to see if a new, upgraded version gets announced for the PS5.
My gold headset finally snapped at the hinge tonight so i'll now probably be looking for a discount on the platinum headset - fingers crossed!
It would be clever promo if they end Days of Play 2020 with the PS5 reveal.
@Rob_230
Just platinumed the game and the reviews couldn't be more wrong. I thoroughly enjoyed it and facing a horde is exhiliriating!
@Netret0120 awesome. Really keen to check it out. Ive been watching alot of videos and it looks super fun
@Grumblevolcano June 2nd is heavily rumoured to be the big reveal event for PS5, which would fall during days of play (if it runs for the same length of time as last year) so good shout!!
