You read that right, WRC 9 is the latest game confirmed to be in development for PlayStation 5. Publisher Nacon (formerly Bigben Entertainment) has just announced the latest entry in the officially licensed series, and it's hooning it onto next-gen.

The game is also getting a PS4 version, which is due for release on 3rd September 2020. Right now, there's obviously no release date set in stone for the PS5 iteration, but it seems like it will be an early game you can pick up for your new console.

Last year's WRC 8 wasn't bad, and the sequel is said to feature "multiple improvements and new features for rally gaming fans". The new game is set to include three new rallies -- Japan, New Zealand, and Kenya -- as well as an improved career mode and refined simulation. Sadly, the announcement trailer above doesn't feature any gameplay, but it's exciting nonetheless to hear of one more confirmed PS5 game.
