More than a year after Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered popped up all of a sudden with a European rating, the rumoured title has gone dark and reappeared once more with yet another rating. The game has been rated for release in South Korea, again sparking speculation that this remaster is still a thing.
By now, it's hard to get too excited about a rumour which has been bubbling and re-surfacing intermittently for the past two years, but then a ratings board isn't going to issue anything official for a video game which doesn't actually exist, right? At this point, it is hard to say whether or not Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered is planned to launch this year, so we'll just have to wait and see what Activision's next move is. Speaking of which, the game it could be releasing alongside is rumoured to be a "gritty reboot" of the Black Ops sub-series.
Do you hope that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered still comes to fruition? Let us know in the comments below.

I'm really surprised this has been in the void for so long, considering how well MW1 Remastered did for them, and MW2 was by far the most popular of the two.
We need MW2. The new Modern Warfare reebot is simply boring and the game has lost its essence.
Pffft, who cares? The real remaster news is that Shadow Man is getting a 4K remaster on PS4.
IGN are saying its the campaign only. Could you verify (or discredit) this?
