Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered Available Now on PS4

Playstation Access currently streaming the game and giving away a few codes at random intervals.

What's the catch? 20 quid sounds really reasonable to me. Well done Activision! Look forward to reading a review soon

@BearsEatBeets That was a thing in the original MW2, so nothing has changed there.

@grahamd @Jocinetu They won't do multiplayer because they want people to play the current Modern Warfare. When the included multiplayer with Modern Warfare Remastered it split the community really bad between Infinite Warfare and MWR. The don't want to repeat that mistake again hence why it's campaign only.

They need to bring out the original spec ops maps with this. Never mind the mp crap, but spec ops should return.

I'm shocked Activision didn't try to charge a full $60.

So I am trying to figure out if this is an add on DLC or a stand-alone release..in small print it says "*Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® or Call of Duty®: Warzone required (Sold/downloaded separately)" for the Demo Team Ghost or something.

So is this an add-on or stand-alone?

@frankmcma The game itself is standalone, but if you purchase you get a couple of bonuses in Modern Warfare 2019

Brilliant, this is one of my favourite shooters of all time so I’d happily play it again. I kinda hoped it would be in MW2019’s engine but there’s no beating a classic.

@Bamila it is a remaster though, it's a cleaned up version game, were you expecting a remake?

I guess this is for the people who were probably too young to have played it the first time around or diehard cod fans that buy all the stuff.

the same people clamoring for MP would be the ones whining about not being able to find matches when the community is splintered between games.

As someone that hasn't played the original back in 2009, I'm glad I bought this for $14.99. Easily one of the best campaigns in Call of Duty. Hopefully MW3 gets a remaster as well sometime in the future.
