Relax! Here’s the PlayStation 5 news you’ve been waiting for – or not. Sony has trademarked its next-gen console’s logo in its native Japan, clearing the way for release. Maybe. The Japanese giant’s come in for some criticism from core fans for keeping its forthcoming format underwraps, with some even wondering whether all is well behind-the-scenes.
Of course, it’s likely business as usual at PlayStation headquarters, with more information about the system surely imminent. For now, you’ll just have to make do with this trademark news, because that’s literally all we’ve got to write about. You know what to do: comment ‘slow news day’ in the space below.

slow news day
@ankehuber nope, we've got loads of content up... check out the homepage.
@antdickens Slow News day isn't what I would call it myself, just a boring one.
That is what being a news site entails though, even if it isn't the most interesting news it is always worth posting as someone may find it interesting themselves.
slow news day
well you told us to do it
@DonJorginho sorry... I know just my usual reply and playing along with the joke
@antdickens No need to be sorry amigo, I can always count on you to prove people wrong regarding slow news days
@DonJorginho it's a gift, that keeps on giving!
I think sony is mostly mum because they can be and partially because they dont want to over promise if production is truly hindered by Wuhan issue.
@Nyne11Tyme if their production is affected, so is Microsoft. Business as usual.
@antdickens I've got the feeling I've just been had.
I've been wondering, is PushSquare an office where every editor works at the same time or is it scattered (editors work at home)?
@beavis64 yeah I feel this newspaper is strongly PS biased. Look at the colours and everything! I don't know why though...
I also cannot find the sport pages and the semi-nude fit bird photos..
Slow PS5 news day.
Laziest article I've ever read
Haha, cheeky as u brits say. Heres an idea for a random article if its a slow day and would happen to make for great discussion in the comments.
So its obvious what replies youll get when asking what older games youd like to see remade right, youll get a list of everyones old favorites that are probably all going to have been good games in their day, well how about this..
What old ps1/ps2/ps3 games do you think had great potential (or were just simply bad) but could potentially REALLY benefit from a good remake??
@Gmork___
Obviously the PS2 Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance and Champions of Norrath games. There have been too few top-down dungeon crawlers for couch co-op and these were some of the best.
Curiously the Norrath games, being based in EverQuest, are actually Sony's IP so whey they have never remastered them I don't know....
