With the Japanese launch of Granblue Fantasy Versus less than a week away, we've been anticipating a confirmed Western release date -- and now we've finally got one. The good news is that we won't have to wait too long for the title to land in North America. It's around one month out from its Japanese counterpart, launching on the 3rd March 2020 in the States.
As for Europe? We don't know for sure just yet, but we assume it'll be either the same date or very close. We'll update this article as soon as we have confirmation.
Granblue Fantasy Versus is without a doubt one of the biggest fighting games set for 2020. Based on the hugely popular Granblue Fantasy franchise (in Japan, at least), it's developed by the genre masters over at Arc System Works, and based on what we've seen of the title up to this point, it's definitely worth keeping an eye on. What's more, if you're a single-player kind of person and you're sitting there shrugging your shoulders, you may want to look into the game's RPG mode, which features quests, loot, and big boss battles.

This franchise still flies over my head but it seems to be huge.
Is this the same as the adventure game that was teased a while back with the protagonist with boob armour?
Finally! Not too big on fighting games but I love Granblue. Day One buy for me.
Oooh, get...in...my...backlog!!
@Octane It's the same property — it's all Granblue Fantasy. This is a fighting game, and the one you're thinking of is an action RPG called Granblue Fantasy Relink. That one doesn't have any release date, though, not even in Japan, although it's supposed to be launching this year.
Nice... do not play fighting games but the "RPG Mode" sounds interesting.
I really just want Granblue Fantasy: Relink news.
YAAAAS! Definitely picking this up Day One. Buzz is good and haven't bought a new fg since DBFZ ywo years ago.
This is the first time I've been tempted to get the $99 version.
I can't wait for ReLink, but I don't know about this. I love playing fighting games at first, but I tend to only play them for like a week before giving up.
I love slower streetfighter style fighters so im pretty excited about this, just hope it has a simple jump in and play online mode (like sf or tekken) rather than the horribly convoluted online modes of many arksystem games. And hope theres a lot of people to find games with at all times of the day.
The game looks great but the base game only has 11 characters.
I usually buy fighting games digitally, but that special edition is tempting..
@NinjaWaddleDee Same here regarding fighting games...time better spent with story driven RPGs etc.
"As for Europe"... Typical... "Oh yes, you exist too" American attitude ~_~''
