Obsidian's The Outer Worlds has done rather well for itself ever since its October launch with sales that have exceeded expectations the developer held prior to launch. It's a major success for the now Microsoft-owned company, and it looks like more content could be on its way.
In an interview with Eurogamer, it is revealed that Obsidian still has a team working on post-launch support and content for the game despite the fact it has multiple other projects currently in the works. "People are obviously loving Outer Worlds and we made it because we love it, so now we get to keep on doing things to help support [it]."
A content roadmap for The Outer Worlds hasn't been announced at the time of writing, but it looks like one could be on its way sooner rather than later. Are you hoping to head back to the RPG with new content in the future? Pass a speech check in the comments below.

Would love a meaty expansion for this. I actually think one additional planet with its own storylines would balance out the game rather well.
I'd get this DLC day one absolutely love this game alot
I need to get a copy of this so I can support Obsidian.
I remember enjoying the New Vegas DLC even with the flaws included. I can't see them losing money by releasing some new content. I'm tempted to wait for the GOTY/Complete edition though if they choose that way.
Good thing PlayStation fans gave the Microsoft studio the success they deserve. 😏
Would buy it day one. Love the game
I would support it, still playing the game now.
It needs all the DLC it can get with all the complaints about it being too short. At least some 15hr DLC would be good.
I was pondering whether there would be dlc after finishing the game with a few planets in the Halcyon system still unused. I'd be defo down for more.
I finished it a few days ago. Really like it although the story ends as soon as it's getting going and the companion quests were all way too short and simple, other than arguably Parvati's. There are several planets visible on the travel map that you can't visit so I'd say DLC was already on their minds. Not complaining, I'd love more.
Yes please!!! I would definitely purchase DLC for this game if they had some.
The dlc should be a timed exclusive to playstation users since they were the ones that make the game a sales success. lol
Having seen what obsidian are working on next, I'd say they would be better off concentrating on the outer worlds as much as possible.
When can I give you my money?
Ya like the 4 or 5 planets we cant visit would be a nice dlc
A couple more planets would do nicely in elongating our experience. Adding a new companion would be cool too.
Shame all future outer world games, I'd have to buy for my PC
You know what? No. When this came out it was being praised for having no mtx or season pass BS, just a good old everything included video game. Even Jim Sterling was blowing smoke up it's backside for those reasons.
While playing it I'm noticing these places I can't go to thinking they'll unlock as I progress, nope. Finished the game and still nope. Now here's the bait and switch.
This DLC isn't because of the success of the game, it was always planned but nothing was said up front. It's just as slimy as Activision putting mtx into their games after review. Safe to say I won't be supporting this scumbag move by buying the DLC.
The fact TOW went straight to Game Pass says a lot. I found it too linear and waaayy too short. Lets hope the inaccessible planets are DLC.
