If you're an EA Access subscriber on PlayStation 4, you might be wondering when you'll get to play Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order early for a limited time. Unfortunately, we've got some bad news for you. There's not going to be a 10 hour trial at all despite the fact that one of the services' biggest selling points is its early tests of upcoming Electronic Arts games.
The publisher broke the news on Twitter, stating that there won't be an early access trial "in part to reduce the risk of spoilers". To make up for that, EA is offering subscribers two exclusive cosmetic items that don't look in the least bit interesting. Yeah, it's a real bad trade-off.
EA access trials have been offered for numerous past titles, including the likes of Need for Speed Heat, FIFA 20, and ANTHEM. Interestingly, as soon as a purely single player experience comes along, the publisher scraps one of its selling points altogether. It probably wasn't entirely realistic to actually expect a full 10 hour trial of the jedi simulator, but not even the game's opening hour or so? Come on EA.

I agree with ea .this game is a heavenly story driven game.you dont wont to spoil it.word up son
I think it's good news, at last an EA game with no microtransactions and 1 release date for everyone. For live service games it makes sense but a single player story driven game that you can get most of the way through in that time, it would make no sense. Also why would anyone want spoilers days before they can play it?
Finally a game the whole family can play!
Will the review embargo lift before launch?
@Ortneoc Yeah, I was wondering when we can expect reviews. The game comes out in a couple days.
Edit: I think I just realized that the interpretation of their announcement of no early access also means no early access to review information. I think if they are sticking to the limitation to potential spoiler info, then that applies to reviews too, so the embargo lifts on release day. Not sure how I feel about that.
I don't have ea access so no biggy for me 😆 I'm super excited to play this just waiting on the reviews to drop hopefully soon since it launches very soon 3 days from now

@Ortneoc @Th3solution @BarefootBowser According to a semi-reliable source, the review embargo lifts in America on Thursday evening at 9pm (making it the wee small hours of the actual launch day for us Brits). Again, this and the late dispatch of review copies to the media is apparently to contain spoilers.
Which now has everybody thinking Ahsoka's in it.

But the consequence of the late reviews is that I’ll not be pre-ordering the game then. I just have to make sure it’s not a complete dud.
@Th3solution Given that the only pre-order bonuses are skins for BD-1 and the Stinger Mantis, I don't think you're missing out on much anyway. None of them have struck me as things I'll use extensively. The making of documentaries and digital art book content will likely wind up on YouTube someday, if you're even interested in such things to begin with.
Weren't you gonna wait anyway, and compare reviews / user impressions with those for Death Stranding...?
It wouldn't be feasible to allow people to play 10 hours of a single player game, agreed. As you mention though, an hours play would have been a nice concession for those who haved subbed to EA Access for this very reason?!
If EA finally gives us the great Star Wars single player game we want, all we be forgiven!
@RogerRoger That was the plan. Either Star Wars or Death Stranding. It won’t be a straight up competition for which game has the higher Metacritic score, but I want to get a feel for which will resonate with me more to trump all my other backlog content. It’s possible that it will be neither one.
However; the talk of all this spoilery info that EA feels will flood the world the minute of release makes me think I should prioritize this game first. Hmmm... 🤔 maybe that’s their psychological marketing tactic. Creating a feeling of urgency to play the game and therefore buy it earlier. Clever, EA. Clever.

This kinda hits me as a red flag. No early access, review embargo lifts the day of release. It's almost as they don't have confidence in their product.
Let's just wait and see whether they've fixed the janky animation. In the reveal, every time he walked up a slope, his legs looked as if they belonged to one of those freaky Boston Dynamics robots.

Maybe move the trial to release day, which would solve their reason.
