If you thought Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers was just going to be another Dynasty Warriors-style action game from developer Omega Force, then you may want to give the title's latest trailer a watch. It's pretty much our first proper look at the game in action, and from what we can tell, there's a lot more to Persona 5 Scramble than we initially imagined.
It appears to have all kinds of stuff packed into it, like Persona 5-style platforming elements, fully animated cutscenes, and even new social events. In fact, it seems to have a lot in common with its parent game -- heck, a calendar system makes an appearance at one point -- the key difference is that instead of taking out shadows in turn based combat, you'll be whacking them in real-time.
Persona 5 Scramble launches in Japan on the 20th February, 2020. Hopefully we won't have to wait too long until it arrives on Western shores.

Yeah, I’m not the biggest Dynasty Warriors fan but I might have to get this.
looking good, it's just a shame this won't get as much limelight as Royal will
I was initially very dubious about this, but it looks pretty good.
Looks so good. With this and Royal, my future seems set to be filled with lots of Persona. And that's not even including all of the past games that I've missed but would still love to get, such as P3P, P4G, the dancing ones and the Q games.
Wow, this looks way better than I was expecting. I still feel sorry for Switch only players but that’s why I go multiplat, just as I don’t expect Zelda on PS4, I don’t expect every game to jump to Switch.
This looks like one of the best Koei spin-off titles I've seen.
And I really loved Hyrule Warriors.
This looks way better than I expected. Genuinely interested now.
I'm ready for anything Persona flavoured, Persona 5 is easily a Top 10 of the generation (so far) for me
This looks like a full on Persona 5-2, but with musou combat instead of turn-based dungeon crawling.
Day one, without question.
@nessisonett Eh, substitute Shin Megami Tensei V, a Switch exclusive, for Zelda, and I agree with the thrust of your comment. Expecting Zelda on PS4 would be more like expecting God of War on Switch, I think.
Okay, this looks good. My interest went from "not interested in musou games" to "I think I gonna get this one in steelcase edition"
I'm... Actually more interested in this then Royal to be honest
Have fun with those @crimsontadpoles! I'd reccommend looking up "The Answer" which is the Persona 3 FES only Epilogue whenever you get round to beating P3P!
This actually looks ALOT better than I was expecting! In fact like you say there is alot more going on than what I expected.I absolutely loved both the Dragon Quest Heroes games and now I'm pretty stoked for this..I may even end up loving it as much as Persona 5.
hmm, looks better than expected. dragon quest heroes was enjoyable enough. this might actually be worth going through when it falls to $30.
Weirdly i was already sold on it just being DW with Persona 5 coat of paint but this sounds even better.
Wow, I adored Persona 5 but wasn't really interested in this until now. Looks way more interesting than the average Dyanasty Warriors-esque game. Still not sure if I'll buy Persona 5 The Royal but sign me the heck up for this.
Day one i would be happy with a Persona styled Dynasty Warriors but this is even better.
@Porco Awsome game Dragon Quest Heroes 1 and 2 need 3 trophies for Heroes 2 and then i have the Platinum for both.
