There it is. We now know for absolute certain that The Last of Us: Part II will make an appearance during the upcoming State of Play presentation. Scheduled for Tuesday next week, the live broadcast will give us our first look at the hotly anticipated sequel since last year's E3 gameplay trailer.
The game's director, Neil Druckmann, made the announcement on Twitter with the above teaser. It reveals nothing, only showing Ellie's switchblade accompanied by some ambient sound. It's not much, but it sure sets the mood.
As we said, the next State of Play goes out on Tuesday, 24th September. Are you excited to see The Last of Us: Part II once again? What do you think will be shown during the broadcast? Lob some bricks in the comments below.

I'm just excited to see anything!! It would be great if it was pencilled in for the start of next year
Release date confirmed February 25, 2020 mark my words
Sounds like it will be a new showcase of the SP gameplay which is great since I have no interest in the MP aspect.
I must be the only person on here that just didn’t enjoy the first one. Then again, I’m not into zombie things at all. If the gameplay’s good enough I guess I could pick it up in a sale.

Ooops fixed make that February 25, 2020 a normal Tuesday
@KnightWolf that’s just a few days before the FF7 remake. Not sure it would be best timing... for my wallet and social life.
Thats a clicker 11 secs in too.
Hyped. I didnt love the first as much as many others. But the first 15 minutes is the best, most emotional scene ive ever played in a video game, or experienced in any medium.
And the rest of the game remained extremely compelling, so im looking forward to getting my hands on this. Hope it lives up to the hype
Ellie gonna go ham on those fireflies and cultists.
Stealth release Outbreak Day's 6th Anniversary - Sept 26 2019
This was such a good tweet to wake up to. My local Sony rep told me that the things that will be announced and shown in this State of Play will make me weep with joy, and he can't wait to talk to me about all of it. I'm really on pins and needles over here.
@sajoey Don't forget to fill us in when you hear something
@Rob_230 I exactly agree with you. The first few scenes are amazing storytelling. The clunky repetitive stealth gameplay that follows I could take or leave but mostly leave. I'm really hoping the second game has more gameplay variety and doesn't lean too heavily on the quality of its cinematics.
@777Reigns can confirm, there will be a release date for Last of Us. No idea what it'll be, but we're getting it.
