Man, this is a blast from the past. Bandai Namco is still stuck in the early noughties, it seems, as it's just announced Ice Age: Scrat's Nutty Adventure, a brand new 3D platformer starring the acorn-chasing rodent. Why not?
You'll play as the titular Scrat as he continues his quest to find that ever-elusive acorn. As you can see from the teaser trailer, it looks like a pretty straightforward puzzle platformer. As far as we're aware, this isn't a tie-in with any one movie -- it seems to be a standalone adventure. To be honest, it doesn't look too bad.
We can't say that this game is exactly timely - unless a new film is also on the agenda - but it has potential to be a fun, lighthearted collectathon. It's out on 18th October 2019.
What do you think of Ice Age: Scrat's Nutty Adventure? Is Bandai Namco nuts for making a new Ice Age game? Hunt for the last melon in the comments below.

Did someone make this in Dreams?
A new ice age game, resident evil going back to coop, yakuza going turn based, forget what year what dimension is this?! This isn't my world
It almost feels like we're back in the PS2 days where all sorts of random games & movie/tv tie ins were released all over the place.
I'm quite enjoying it.
@Danloaded you forgot that Baldursgate 3 got reveal! This year after 20 years •ᴥ•
Forget Ice Age. I want a new Madagascar game.
The animation looks real good. Scrat is my favourite from the movies. Hopefully this turns out to be a really good game.
I still dont understand why The Simpsons have never been adapted into an RPG.
Scrat's collected way too many nuts to be an Ice Age game.
@Danloaded Welcome to the MultiVerse lol
Just because it's old...ish doesn't mean it couldn't be fun. But surprised there wasn't any humour being shown in the trailer.
Nobody asked for this, but I'm not saying I won't buy it.
Day one. Been asking for more movie tie ins and they are all starting to appear.
Might be a switch game rather than PS4 for this one.
