Borderlands 3 Release Date

So, the release date for Borderlands 3 might have just been leaked. A weird tweet from the game's official Twitter account stated: "Mayhem is Coming September 13. Pre-order now for the Gold Weapon Skins Pack!" The tweet has since been deleted.

We managed to take a screenshot of the tweet in question, though:

Now, today is obviously April Fools, but pranking people with a release date for an anticipated game doesn't exactly sound like a good idea, even for Gearbox. It seems a lot more likely that this tweet was somehow posted early. After all, Gearbox said that more information on Borderlands 3 will be arriving on the 3rd April.

If the 13th September really is the release date for Borderlands 3, then the rumour that we reported on earlier is incorrect.
