All the way back in May last year, a Korean ratings board listing for 'Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition' appeared. There was speculation over what the supposed title could be -- a simple remaster of the first Borderlands? Or maybe some kind of collection? -- but more information never followed. Until now, that is.
Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition has again been spotted, this time through the Taiwan ratings board. As was the case in Korea, it's again listed for PlayStation 4. Hopefully this new sighting leads to an announcement of some kind.

Please be true. The Borderlands franchise is one of my faves, and this will keep me busy until Borderlands 3 is released. A remaster instead of a port would be nicer.
I hope they get on with it and just announce the 3rd one soon.
@MattyHammo yes, I’m with you 100% on this. A remaster with all the DLC would be awesome!
Maybe, since it's the Game of the Year Edition, it may be a VR version of the first game, similar to the second game's VR release from a month ago.
B3 or don't care.
I platinumed Borderlands but have never finished Borderlands 2. I think the first game was more enjoyable.
The last (re)lease of any Borderlands game at all, let alone an award-winner or top seller, was back in 2015. Does “Game of the Year” truly mean nothing anymore?
@ApostateMage I platinumed the first one, and disagree, the second one is better. The world was more vibrant and diverse. Story was more enjoyable with tiny Tina and handsome jack.
Better late than never
@Fath yeah I don't think anything to do
with the games industry retains any kind of meaning at this point, its all just buzzword or remasters/remakes (aka a re-skined port 90% of the time)
B3 and I might care but I ain't buying the same game again 3 copies is already more than enough ffs.
The sooner this crash hits the sooner we might see games worth buying again.
@Cutmastavictory agreed! Platinumed both, twice for BL2, and it is miles better than the first in virtually every way!
This would be great for those that missed BL1 from last gen. BL2 is better overall, but for me BL1 has the better weapons and weapons mods. BL1 also has the excellent General Knoxx dlc.
If it's true, does that mean B3 is still far away for a release date?
Gearbox miking a dead cow because they can’t develop a new game
