Your favourite buxom Dead or Alive babes will bring more sun and sangria to the PlayStation 4 from 20th March in Japan, as Koei Tecmo has announced an updated version of Xtreme 3 for Sony’s system. The news comes amid a censorship row which is seeing the Japanese giant clamp down on saucy software, although there’s no word yet that this title will be affected.
The release, sub-headlined Scarlet, will see brunette bombshell Misaki join the fray. The previous edition never made its way to Western shores, so don’t expect this one to either.

Hehe, also announced for Switch. Someone's really afraid of Sony's censorship there. Understandable tho'.
@Lando_ I mean, not really. Previous version was PS4 and PS Vita so only natural to go PS4 and Switch now.
Sony is very much a western company now, makes sense, its where the money is at!
I thought new dead or alive games announced for xbox scarlet, ps4 and switch
The new policy is only for SIEE and SIEA so far as i can tell. So stands to reason the japanese version would be unaffected
@Rob_230 I’m pretty sure the PS4 version of Nekopara already had it’s changes in the Japanese version.
Oh dear, I totally misread "western shores".
Played the original back on Xbox. Couldn’t really get into it and skip the 2nd game on 360 all together. I would actually be more interested in this game if the volleyball part had some depth to it. Sadly I heard it doesn’t.
@shonenjump86 I would love more and better volleyball aswell the rest is a nice extra nothing against bikinibabes. 😁
@Flaming_Kaiser lol, yup. I have nothing against it.
@Jaz007 interesting! That really would represent a big shift
Somebody tell Sony Anita Sarkeesian and her channels are Dead. She had to time in the spotlight but its over.
This is all about Sony wanting to stay away from Western backlash and negative news. All from loud people that don't even play or purchase games.
@JohnKarnes You'd be surprised. When God of War Ascension had a trophy called "bros before hos", many gamers, even here on pushsquare had an issue with it and demanded for the trophy name to change. Apparently, blood, violence and nudity were fine but that somehow crossed the line.
There was a censorship for the previous one : the game never made it to the west. That was the censorship. You cannot censor a game more than that.
And this one will have the same treatment, I bet. Because, if I remember correctly, all of this censorship case concerns only the west. Japanese gamers keep playing those games that some western people find so offensive, with no trouble at all.
Only question, here, for the DoA fans : will there be an english / asia version, that they can import ?
@Bobobiwan But that was not the call of Sony. 😁

The PS4 version is actually changed. You could buy gel to change the bounciness of the boobs and other items that slightly increase the lewdness factor of the game. The official site for the game mentions the lack of the content in the PS4 version via a comparison chart. Switch version still has it.
