assassin's creed odyssey how to level up

How do you level up in Assassin's Creed Odyssey? What are the best ways to get experience? The general answer is to just, well, play the game, but some things grant a lot more experience than others in Assassin's Creed Odyssey.

How to level up fast in Assassin's Creed Odyssey

Killing enemies and discovering locations give you experience in Assassin's Creed Odyssey, pushing your character towards the next level. However, it's completing quests that gives you by far the most experience in bulk.

Main quests, side quests, contracts, and simple errands always grant you the biggest experience gains in Assassin's Creed Odyssey. Thankfully, there's never a shortage of things to do. Visit a town's quest board and pick up smaller contracts that take place in the current region. The quest board that's pinned to the mast of your ship also has smaller contracts that you can pick up whenever you feel like it.

Always keep an eye out for civilians with grey diamonds above their heads. Talk to them and they'll give you a usually simple contract that you can complete quickly, gaining a nice amount of experience in the process. Take on and complete as many of these as you can and you'll level up at a much faster rate.

Meanwhile, gold diamonds on the map indicate side quests that grant even more experience.
