Capcom's classic Mega Man series celebrates its 30th Anniversary this year, and the publisher has today announced the release date for Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 and 2. Both of the bundles will be available on PS4 on 24th July 2018. Check out the trailer above to see the various games in action.
In a similar fashion to the Mega Man Legacy Collection titles, the eight games in the X series will be split across the two collections. The first will include Mega Man X, Mega Man X2, Mega Man X3, and Mega Man X4. The second collection includes Mega Man X5, Mega Man X6, Mega Man X7, and Mega Man X8. That's a lot of blue bomber action to be had.

props to the author for writing out all of those game names, I think most of us would have just gone with MMX 1-4 and MMX 5-8. Nice to see somehow taking their job seriously.
I know that all reads very sarcastically but I do mean it as a compliment.
why release it as 2 collections?, just make one and charge more
Actually no Vita versions!? Sad.
I wish X5 was included with part 1. I didn’t really like X6 and and the PS2 X games I heard weren’t all that great, never played them.
@shonenjump86 X8 is fine.
Shame about no physical release in the EU again but whatever.
Can't wait to play these again. Was never a fan of the older mega man games but really loved the X ones. Should be a great way to ease into MM11 which hopefully still hits 2018.
I'll get collection 1 and ignore collection 2. Megaman X 1-4 is great, it's all downhill from there. I hope capcom release zero collection next.
@wiiware A zero collection you say? Funny you should mention a thing that exists...
Can I dream of a Battle Network Collection one day?
I don't know why we have to have two separate collections again. You'd think a PS4 disc could hold 8 separate games easily.
@Cassetticons I personally would like to see that. BN3 and 5 are some of my favorite GBA games.
@FullbringIchigo Greed. I'm sure they ran the numbers on the max people would be willing to pay and it works out in their favor this way.
I already own several copies of X1 (original cartridge, Wii VC, SNES Mini and the PS2 MegaMan X collection) but the others In only have on the PS2 collection. X1 is my favorite but then again the X series never grabbed me like the original Mega Man games. Maybe I will pick these up when they are cheap.
I wish this came with a Dynamic theme of X fighting the Shadow Devil with the music playing
I've still got Mega Man 8-10 left to play from the other collection, so I'll hold off on the X games for now.
I was really hoping they would put them all in one collection this time. Hope they're not charging more than $20 apiece.....
I will buy it, also would be great if Mega Man Legends 1 and 2 are coming next.
I'll definitely get the first collection.
The second? Meh.
Glad they're not in one collection so I don't have to pay double the price for a bunch of mediocre MMX games.
@RedMageLanakyn I'm sure they'll be $20 a pop digitally, or $40 for the collection. No reason to price it differently than the collections of the original games.
@KALofKRYPTON your Vita ver essentially is... the Switch
Never been more ready. Will get both day 1 on Switch.
@YummyHappyPills Lol, I mean megaman zero collection
@wiiware The Megaman Zero Collection exists
@Derpie1 Shame really. They could at least give the Vita a good send off!
I don't have or particularly want a Switch (of my own).
@KALofKRYPTON otherwise uh hope Sony makes another Handheld... someday...
@YummyHappyPills I don't have nintendo ds and already sold my 3ds. I want mmz collection for my ps4 or psvita.
@wiiware No port begging
I'll be grabbing both collections eventually, probably during BF 2018.
Still mad about them leaving out Maverick Hunter X and Command Mission though...
