Originally stretch goals for the game's Kickstarter, a playable female protagonist and a canine companion are still in the works for Kingdom Come: Deliverance. That's according to director Daniel Vávra, who posted about the subject on Twitter after some sites suggested that the features may not be added.
"[the] dog companion and female characters quests are gonna be delivered as free DLC for backers as well as other stuff. And that is still true," Vávra wrote. There are no release windows yet, but it seems like you can expect plenty more from Kingdom Come down the line, especially seeing as the development team is still working on bug fixes and other improvements.

That's a lot of work to record the same lines with a different VA. Well, good on them I suppose!
Ill get the complete edition fully patched when i have the time so maybe next year.
Is it the whole game that is playable as a female character or just a few new quests?
@ApostateMage @Octane I believe it's just a series of quests, not the full game. Sorry for any confusion!
@ShogunRok That makes a lot more sense! For a moment I thought they were going to add in a completely new playable character! I've seen some gameplay, that's a lot of dialogue, etc.
@Octane One of the tier details in KCD's Kickstarter page suggests that female character in question is in fact Theresa. I'm thinking it will be similar to the Ciri parts in The Witcher 3 in that it's sort of another "episode" in the main game's timeline.
