Lumines Remastered Drops Onto PS4 in May

Some might say the PS4 has too many remasters at this point, but we can allow for this one, right? Lumines was a superb puzzle game on PlayStation Portable that played a little like a rhythmic Tetris, and the PS4 is set to receive Lumines Remastered in May 2018.

This is a fairly straightforward HD port of the original game, as you can see from the announcement trailer, and it'll support 4K on PS4 Pro. The game looked great on PSP with its vivid presentation, so we imagine it'll look gorgeous on a modern TV.

LOVED Electronic Symphony on Vita. What a cracking puzzle game Lumines is.

My favorite puzzle game of all-time, loved it even more than Tetris. Definitely a PSP classic. I'll be getting this for sure but probably on the Switch since it'll have the portability aspect there.

Fantastic soundtrack in that version of the game, I don't think it will be bettered by this new release. I'll still pick it up though as Lumines is tremendous fun to play.

This was the game that put Tetris in the shade for me. What a pleasant surprise this is, especially from Enhance who I'm still buzzing about after playing Rez Infinite in VR.

Loved this on the PSP and the Vita, but didn't enjoy the big screen version on the PS3, so I'm not sure about another TV outing. Maybe some explosive VR version, migh add something, but I feel this type of game works best on hand helds.
