Electronic Arts’ annual E3-but-totally-not-E3 extravaganza will return on 9th June through 11th June, with fans once again admitted entry free of charge. Scheduled to take place at the Hollywood Palladium, the publisher claims that it’s a “place to connect with our games and each other, whether you’re joining us in person, online, or through your favourite content creators and community leaders”. Sounds like the third circle of Hell to us.
So what will be on display? “You’ll have a chance to play our next Battlefield experience, new EA Sports games, and get an inside look at the stunning new action game Anthem,” reads the press release. Standard stuff, then. More information about ticketing and scheduling will be announced in due course. We must say, the E3 hype cycle seems to start earlier and earlier – it’s only bloody February, after all!

Ah, the annual EA crapfest. Prepare to have an hour of your lives wasted!
@ShogunRok Cynical but true.
"I'm a youtube content creator!" oh lord praise E3!
@ShogunRok Ah Cahman dood it’ll be a good conference to take a few drinks on
@Derpie1 Give it a few more years and literally the only way I'll be able to get through an EA press conference is by being blind drunk.
@ShogunRok with a hint of playing a decent game w the conference as mere background noise
Hmm
New microtransactions..good
“place to connect your wallet to our servers"
Sports are cool guys! Let's show a bunch of nerds sports stuff that looks the same every year! /salt
Oh god that picture just brought back so much cringe 😖
Bring back Jesse!!
What a glorious day
I know we shouldn't judge people but just looking at that guy he looks like a complete douchebaog (also looks like he's straining for a poo). EA trying to be edgy and hip thinking it will appeal to gamers when in fact it has the opposite effect.
One benfit of having an Xbox as well as PS4 is that I don't have to buy any of their games and will just wait for them to goto EA access.
Free to enter.
But if you want to avoid sitting on the floor its £3.99 for a chair leg, £7.99 for the back rest, £19.99 for a front facing view and £129.99 for the deluxe seat. This is only for the first half of the show as the ultimate chair of the year seats get released sporadically to the people who pay the most.
There should definitely be a push square drinking game for this. Depending on times etc I'd be up for that.
Still nothing will ever top Konami Press conference Will they have a press this year I think I read somewhere that they will.
E3 is coming! Oh wait... Seriously, why does EA do this conference? It feels like they're getting less and less relevant each year. They basically create the same games every year, and that's it. Being completely honest, none of their games appeal to me, and since they don't offer anything new, this won't change anytime soon...
@Hapuc They announced one a few years ago, they had a livestream, but the conference never happened lol. I think it was 2014 or 2015. Press woke up early, they had a countdown, but there was no video.
Aha! Another payment method for EA to utilize; pay to enter.
Sigh, here it goes again...
It's already confirmed that EA will release a new Battlefield, right?
Battlefield and Anthem then.
I was always expecting more details of Star Wars SP game made by Visceral, it was the only reason that i used to watch the EA conference. Now we know that will never going to happen.
@ShogunRok we could always NOT watch it and use that hour for something more productive like watching paint dry
Mostly Not my cup of tea but I do enjoy madden.
@Octane Ahahahaahha Man they need another one.
