Remember when Capcom treated Mega Man with such disdain that Keiji Inafune went and raised a fortune for spiritual successor Mighty No. 9, only to let everyone down with the final product? Well, the Japanese publisher’s finally bloody remembered its mascot, announcing an all-new entry in the series – and a Monster Hunter: World crossover cameo.
Essentially, you’ll be able to kit your friendly Palico assistant out in an 8-bit outfit inspired by the Blue Bomber, which will also enable you to soundtrack your hunts to old chiptune songs. Sure, why not? You can see the Mega Man content in action at the end of the title’s latest trailer, which is embedded above.

What? Why?
Played the beta, so I am definitely getting this on day 1.
@shonenjump86 It's gonna be huge. Game is so good.
This really is nothing new in the Squitendo Monster Hunters particularly the 240pDS ones there was a Cat version of Mega Man for the palicos... although this one not in motion is ok it looks good but when it moves its wierd
Kind of a cool tribute, but a bit creepy in motion.
That trailer is something. This game looks insanely ambitious.
@get2sammyb yup, I only played a little bit of it but it was definitely enough to win me over. Plus, I liked playing them on the Nintendo systems so I am definitely ready for this.
Looks a bit out of place compared to the rest of the game, to be honest. It's like putting a mine craft character in HZD, just looks wrong.
The beta's awesome! To be honest, I've been wanting a MH on a Sony home console for so long now that I didn't really cared about how it was gonna look graphic wise but the game just looks amazing. It really feels and look like proper triple A game. I really hope it does well sales wise.
Also yeah, the Megaman does look out of place in the game but as long as its free I'm not complaining.
@Kidfried it’s called cross promotion. Seems kind of obvious...
