Mark your calendar: anticipated Horizon: Zero Dawn expansion The Frozen Wilds will chill out from 7th November in both Europe and North America. The new DLC – which will add an entire new area and storyline, as well as alter the existing open world – was announced at E3 2017, and can be pre-ordered from the PlayStation Store in return for an exclusive avatar.
We reckon Horizon: Zero Dawn is still one of the best games of the year, so we’re really looking forward to this add-on. Will you be returning to Guerrilla Games’ harsh, post-post-apocalyptic world in a matter of months? Thrash like a Thunderjaw in the comments section below.

Day zero!
Like UC: Lost Legacy, this is one of the few bits of content I'll be ordering for day one because even if the story mission is just Aloy wandering about looking for cheese for a local merchant, I loved the world so much I'd be happy to do it.

@daveofduncan It sucks that in the UK we don't get pre-order bonuses until launch day (themes, etc.) where as Americans seem to be able to download that stuff from the moment they pre-order? I got Sonic Mania hoping to get the theme but I need to wait until launch day :/

@daveofduncan @kyleforrester87 Yeah, it's super dumb. You should get the "bonus" immediately. Part of the reason of getting a theme or avatar is to get you in the mood ahead of the game release.
@Quintumply Ha ha - and I would still buy it if the Frozen Aisle had a whopping T-Rex dino I could wallop with my tripcaster.
I dropped out of HZD around 2/3rds into the main story. A great start, but it just didn't hold my attention, so will probably give this a miss.

It looks like Yellowstone, but that's quite far from Denver Colorado, so I think the maps won't be connected like I expected them to be.
Ugh, I bought the region 3 special edition steelbook version and the dlc still doesn't appear in reg.3 psn
Already pre-ordered. I doubt they could put out Horizon DLC I wouldn't buy.

I didn't know about the preorder bonus. I was gonna just grab the DLC once it's released, but I may as well preorder and get that avatar.

@DLB3 @Ralizah Guerilla Games isn't known for releasing GOTY/Complete Editions though, right?
If they have done such things before I have no knowledge of it.
@get2sammyb @kyleforrester87 saying that, I got the crash bandicoot avatars before launch, had to wait for those themes too. But avatars weren't an issue. Weird.

Loved Horizon Zero Dawn; to me it's almost a deliberate nod to Shadow of the Colossus, plus the likes of Assassins Creed, but the less said about that the better 😬
It's a fantastic demo for the PS4 as well, what with the visceral attacks by the robosaurs, such robust graphics and smooth movement by Aloy too.
Off topic, gearing up for Pro Evo 2018 as next game - especially with Anfield in a starting role ⚽️

i haven't logged onto psn for about 6 weeks, but i'll probably pre-order it when lost legacy drops if not before. haven't played the base game for the 2 new ng+/ultra hard trophies yet, will probably wait til the dlc comes out and tackle the game fresh all over again, as i platinumed it twice back when it came out.

@DLB3 I think that would be ideal for me. It only took a few years of waiting, but Witcher 3 is not regularly available in sales for $25 or less with all DLC included. I can only imagine that a GOTY version of Horizon might be $30 or so by holiday 2018.
@DLB3 Except Bloodborne's GOTY Edition never got an U.S. release sadly, for some strange reason.
Same exact thing happened with Arkham Origins and Arkham Knight, U.S. never got the GOTY Editions even though they clearly do exist in other countries.
@DLB3 Sony probably thought Bloodborne was too niche for a US GOTY release, as you surmised.
Concerning Arkham Origins/Knight, WB Games and Rocksteady must have had their reasons I guess?
Americans get shafted in weird ways once in a while unless they complain about it. Like Gravity Rush Remastered was originally planned as a digital-only game in the U.S., but after an outcry they had a limited number of physical copies produced and sold them exclusively on Amazon.
