The first expansion for Horizon: Zero Dawn – which is named Frozen Wilds – will add a “brand new area with its own compelling story”. That’s according to Guerrilla Games bigwig Hermen Hulst on the PlayStation Blog, who added that fans can anticipate new adventures and side-activities to boot.

The add-on is available to pre-order from the PlayStation Store now, but it’s unclear whether it will require the base game to be played. More information will apparently be revealed in the weeks and months to come, ahead of launch later this year.

Update: As pointed out in the comments, the PlayStation Store listing notes that you'll need a copy of Horizon: Zero Dawn in order to access the Frozen Wilds. Makes sense.
