Gran Turismo is still technically Sony’s biggest franchise – even though we’d argue Uncharted gives it a run for its money these days. Nevertheless, you’d expect the platform holder to promote the upcoming Gran Turismo Sport pretty heavily ahead of its October release, and it’s just starting to put its foot on the gas.
The platform holder’s uploaded three new trailers to YouTube today, each featuring real-world drivers talking about various features from the game. We’ve embedded them all below:
Who Do You Race For?
Advanced Matchmaking

Join the human race is a fantastic slogan for this.
@get2sammyb
"Join the human race"
It's a shame in 10 years or so Jim Ryan will say "Wow, that looks so old, who would want to play that?", effectively slamming the human race circa 2017.
Which is probably the best and most accurate thing he will ever say.
@BLP_Software I mean, he's right, though. Grab Turismo is a game that improves with each round of technology — why would you choose to play GT2 over the latest version if you had the choice? 🤔
(Inb4 single player blah blah)
@get2sammyb (It's called a joke. I know its late but its poking fun at his comment and how in hindsight he would be insulting the population of earth for what happened in 2017!)
@BLP_Software (I get it.)
At the risk of sounding like the filthiest casual of all time...are there any options in GT Sport that make it easier for people that are complete rubbish at racing games? I've always been put off the GT series in favour of more arcadey racers but someone told me that there are steering assists and other options that make it easier. Driveclub is about as hardcore as I can manage with driving games, and I was still pretty bad at that!
@Will86 Apart from the visual improvements of the other games I have to agree that I had allot more fun with GT2 than any of the others.
@get2sammyb Weird thought...but I can see thr future of GT as a game you stream. Once we hit a certain level of control and realism with the cars all there id left to change beyond minor tweaks is visuals so why not stream thr game from a server as a platform?
@SegaBlueSky Driveclub was hard mate atleast for a filthy casual like me to.
@BLP_Software The future sounds terrible then completely owned by the multinationals.
I'm so hyped for this new GT. But hey, question to the staff, if they can answer : the game comes in various editions, offering some cars here, and some credits there.
I was about to buy the collector's edition, but then I realised that the 20-or-so cars they giving with this version make it, basically, cheating.
So, question : do we know if we can unlock regulary all the cars in the basic edition (with enought time and dedication, off course) ? Even the bonus for pre-ordering or the collector's edition ?
Cause if we can, I'll stick with the basic edition, just to not spoil all the fun.
@Will86 You are one of 5 people globally that have that opinion. .."well behind the competition".. and "really questionable handling".. Yet you are a DC fan if Im not mistaken.(?) Hahaha 😂😂😂😂 If that is true, then you may not be the best authority on what constitutes "good handling" in a racing game. No offense! GT got better, and WAY better with each game. The tire and suspension models in 6 are spot on. If you have it still, maybe we can run a few laps and I can show you how good the handling is?
