Sonic the Hedgehog 2’s loved but overlooked competitive multiplayer mode will return in Sonic Mania because, well, of course it bloody will. The split-screen feature appears to be remaining pretty faithful to its Mega Drive origins, as it squashes the screen in the ugliest manner imaginable. We’re particularly fond of the distinctly “SEGA” sounding announcer.
There’s just a week to go until Sonic Mania spin-dashes the PlayStation 4, and we can’t wait to get our hands on the final release.

oh god no. As long as it isn't also laggy for nostalgia then maybe but ick. I get they had to squish vertically otherwise you cant see whats coming in horizontal but....ugh.

sonic 2 flashbacks! it's a very cool addition even id I wonder If I'll get any use out of it. The cheesy voice fits well.
Used to play this on Sonic 2 quite a bit, will be fun to revisit it with my sister again

How much is this game at launch? Also dl size? My HDD is creaking and im rotating play on a number of titles already. Cant wait for this though.
@kustomflex £15.99 / $19.99. Not sure if it's been said how large the game is to download, but I can't imagine it'll be very big.
