During E3 2017, developer Techland announced that it would be bringing ten totally free downloadable content packs to Dying Light over the course of 12 months. The announcement came as a pleasant surprise, and now, the Polish studio is just about ready to get the ball rolling.
In a new video, enthusiastic producer Tymon Smektala goes over what we can expect from the title's incoming trail of content. Players can look forward to new enemies, more in-game events, new mysteries to solve, and "much, much more". Pretty impressive for a game that's almost three years old, eh?
Our first taste of all of this planned DLC will be "coming soon", so you can expect to hear more about that in the near future. Are you one of the 500,000 people still playing Dying Light every week? Give Techland a pat on the back in the comments section below.

I need to get the DLC for Dying Light. I loved the heck out of it when I played it a few years ago, and this is the perfect excuse for me to jump back in.
I bought this a while back, but haven't played it yet. I'm surprised to see they still want to support the game with content.
TBH I'd rather have them announce Dying Light 2 after three years! I loved Dying Light but theres still a lot of room for improvement I hope to see ironed out in a sequel.
For example more innovative weapons and more fleshed out weapon customization. Rather than: 'apply burn effect'. How about applying a bowling ball to a baseball bat...
Also better animations for, and implementation of, co-op. Running around with four exactly the same characters is just lame. And the transition into a cutscene means all characters would meld together. Dead Island wasn't perfect by any means but still did this better than Dying Light.
Pro patch or no deal.
I hope they carry on supporting even if it is paid DLC after the free parts. No need for a Dying Light 2 for a few more years
I seldom buy or play DLC. I'm usually content with the original game and move on to other things. But I bought and completed the Following. The open spaces and buggy in the expansion were so much fun and changed up the gameplay. You got me Techland!
Havnt played this game yet so it looks like I'm going out to buy it today. Do I need the original, or does the enhanced edition have everything on it?
@OneArmedGiant Enhanced has base game plus The Following dlc
@Lonejester
Thanks. Thought that would be the case but just checking.
I enjoyed the enhanced edition a lot. With this news i will do a replay or continue playing next year after all 10 dlc packs have been released. Maybe sooner if any of the dlc is a new map.
The custom controller mapping feature added to the PS4 made this game much more playable for me.
@NoCode23 second that,a custom controller layout is pretty handy for DL - then again,i play most games with a customized controls.Recommended,y'all..
i would like an option to turn off the "snow" and a more minimal hud or more hud options. And some extra content obviously, although i am still not very far into it..Its hard man.
Wow cool! I loved playing this game...I did the main story but never did all content...maybe I'll install it again!
Oh and please make a sequel xD
Loved it still need to get the DLC i hear its fantastic
Seriously one of the best games ever made imo. Personally id love if a sequal took place in a modern day newyork or something or small town america.
