We reported earlier today that several trademarks were filed by Sony, including a curious renewal for Shadow of the Colossus. Well, it seems as though this giant rumour has turned into a giant reality, since the masters of remastering, Bluepoint Games, are authoring a remake of the beloved 3D platforming adventure by Fumito Ueda. Just from a cursory glance, it's easy to tell that Shadow of the Colossus is being entirely remade with new textures, camera work, and other graphical updates to effects involving sand, water, and more.

I mean, I've already played through it a few times on PS2 and PS3. I don't think I'm in for a third buy. For anyone who hasn't experienced it yet though, pick this one up!

I played a bit of this back in the PS2 days, but never appreciated the game back then. Finally an excuse to try it out again. It would be nice to also see an Ico remaster at some point, I wanna play that one too.

I still hope sony remakes all god of war games with gow 3 engine and sold it as gow collection, like in the ps3 version but with 4k, 60 fps, and updated texture like wipeout collection.
Shoulda teased a new Tokyo Jungle too. I'll play this, didn't play the original.

The effects on 4K TV's will be out of this world if Bluepoint have licence to do a full makeover - this would complete my PS4 collection 👌
One of my all time favorite games! An absolute master piece.... But..... I just dont see the need to do a remake. The original is still awesome as is. They shoulda put this effort into a sequel of some sort. Imagine a ginormous open world with a handful of other online players out there in the world that you could run into possibly. Journey-esque like. Team up to take down some colosi! Theres a lot of cool things they could do.
Ok, so this is my fault but picked up a very cheap PS3 for the spare room and had also ordered this as never played it. I am blaming Sammy for constantly recommending it. I have no free will.
