Persona 5 launches tomorrow in Europe and North America, but a slew of free downloadable content for the game is already available on the PlayStation Store. Said DLC includes the full Japanese audio track - for all of those purists among you - a super hard 'Merciless' difficulty level, a set of healing items, and a set of skill cards. Again, all of this stuff is free, so you may as well download it - although it is worth noting that the Japanese voice DLC weighs in at at around a rather hefty 3GB.
North American users can grab it all through here, while European users should click through here.
Will you be playing Persona 5 with English or Japanese audio? Will you dare to put that new difficulty setting to use? Tread carefully in the comments section below.

Unless the English Audio is really good (which is rare) I prefer to hear the jap voices but if the voices are as excellent as P4 Golden ill definitely be sticking with English
@Wazeddie22 while i agree that most times the Japanese sound better, i still prefer to use the english dub AT LEAST on a first play through that way i'm sure i don't miss ANY story or important information as i can't read or understand Japanese (well i understand a few phrases but nothing that helps)
@Wazeddie22 Fortunately I think the English dub in Persona 5 is top tier stuff, especially as far as translated Japanese games go. Still, great to have the option!
Time to download everything, even though I plan on playing through Persona 5 in English in the default hard mode!
Dual audio will make the inevitable New Game+ playthrough a unique treat on its own.
I wish I weren't utter garbage at the daytime sections of these games.
Every choice I make is wrong.
Man, the hype finally hit me last night, and I let it creep over me. I can not believe that in 24 hours, I will be playing this game. Finished up P4G over 2 years ago. This game (plus FFXV) is why I got my PS4 last year. I am soooooo excited. I got wednesday and thursday off, so Im gearing up for an old school gaming session.
Definitely be downloading it especially for the Merciless difficulty.
Merciless difficulty will make for a fun NG+ run.
@FullbringIchigo Oh I always start rpgs with English voice overs first but I can't carry on if the voice acting is bad,it ruins the experience. At least with the Japanese voice overs, they always sound much more into their role even if you can't understand them lol
@ShogunRok Great to know the voices are pretty decent I agree totally that it's always great to have the choice.(I'm into the Atelia games and don't think I would be able to play them without the jap audio..)
I think I'll play with the English voices. If it doesn't gel (which is unlikely because Atlus' localises VA is usually excellent) then I might download the Japanese pack. Weird it isn't on the disc.
My take your heart edition arrived today. This game is incredible so far. Playing with English dub and its great (not overly convinced by igor voice yet). The music is fantastic and although only about three hours in, I am already gripped. This is a classic. The hype is real people
Oh and the style and cool factor of this game just oozes from every frame. Its absolutely beautiful
