It's not getting brandished around quite like The Last of Us: Part II or Horizon: Zero Dawn, but make no mistake, Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy is going to be a big seller on the PlayStation 4. And with that in mind, we figured that we'd put together a video previewing the forthcoming compilation. This clip outlines everything that we know so far about Vicarious Visions' anticipated remaster-cum-remake, touching upon modes and more.
Where does this one sit in your list of most anticipated 2017 titles? Is it near the top, or have you never really been a 'Coot admirer? Spin like the Tasmanian Devil into the comments section below, and let us know.

Day one for me , one day I would like to see Crash Bash with mp. I loved playing it when I was kid.
@B-I-G-DEVIL If this sells well, I think we'll be seeing more of Crash moving forwards. And I do think it's going to sell very well if they price it properly.
@get2sammyb i do agree with you, but with Activision in charge of publishing duties, do we really think it will be priced sensibly a la ratchet and clank? If this launched at thirty quid it would sell bucket loads
@Rob_230 Probably not. Sony seem to have some involvement with the project, though, so we can only hope they show them the success of Ratchet & Clank and convince them to follow the same model.
Unsure about Europe, but Activision has already revealed that the trilogy will cost $39.99 at launch in NA.
I'll be first in the queue for this (ignoring the fact there probably won't be one)
Definitely high on my list. It was my big takeaway from PS Experience.
I'm not sure if Crash will sell alot though. It's a platformer in 2017 for starters, one with a brand name that lacks the relevance it used to have. I'm expecting good enough numbers, but nothing sensational.
@get2sammyb If you go to psn store, you can preordered it for $40
The reason I'm not buying it yet is because I want to wait for the special edition, maybe they'll release it with with steelcase & artbook. If not, I'll take the digital version.
@DerMeister And that's okay, not every game can be call of duty sales wise.
@wiiware It is fine, I'm not really complaining, just not expecting it to be a BIG seller. It could be if Sony gives it the proper press, but I won't hold my breath too much. I'm sure (or hoping) it'll at least get good enough numbers to keep the franchise alive though, and that's what matters to me.
I really hope if this sells well we will get a new crash game
I really miss platform games so these are very high on my list, along with Yooka Laylee and Toejam and Earl for this year. Then again at the moment that is a very big list with the likes of Horizon, Persona 5, Uncharted and fingers crossed FFVII remake part 1
@carlos82
I had no idea a new Toejam and Earl game was being made. That's news to me.
But yeah, Crash Bandicoot is definitely one of the games I want in 2017. Along with Yakuza 0, Tekken 7, Marvel vs Capcom Infinite and Cuphead. For now.
Never was a Crash fan.
But I'm getting it all the same. I want a rematch from when I fell in the pit in Uncharted 4. I was so close to making it
@shonenjump86 yeah it's the original devs, I backed them on kickstarter. Originally it was just going to be on pc but they have a publisher now so it'll be on consoles. Looks really good too in the style of the original game
So excited for this. You can pre order on Amazon for about $39.99 or $31.99 if you have prime which I think is an amazing deal. Bring on the nostalgia vibes!
I CAN'T WAIT
All I can say about sales is that Crash articles have been consistently some of the biggest traffic earners we've had on this site for years.
Whether those people are actually willing to spend money on it remains to be seen, but the interest is there.
Day 1, Specially when I found out a few days ago that I cannot get the original games on my PS3. I never owned 1 but 2 and particularly 3 are among my favorite PS1 platformers.
i hope they remaster the killzone series for PS4. remember in the ps3 era, they released compilations for Killzone, Hitman, Silent Hill.. They should bring those back.
@DerMeister I'm hoping it will sell as good as ratchet & clank ps4, in the first couple of months that game often resurfaces in the top 10 chart. I think the $40 price help a lot, most people will wait for a discount if the game price is $60, but at $40 they bought it new.
@portalplayer2 Sony should buy Bluepoint Games and make them remaster most of playstation old games to ps4, 4K and 60 fps for ps4 pro to all remastered version of ps1/2/3 games.
I definitely buy 4k 60 fps version of puppeteer
Makes me sad that this release basically ensures the NA PSN for the vita will never get the original PSOne trilogy. I've been waiting to get those three gems on my vita from day one. 😢
I don't know that it will be a 'big' seller but that again depends on what figures you classify to be a big seller.
I did enjoy Crash back in the day but I wouldn't say I am looking forward to the remakes. They were 'good' in their day but by modern standards, the game-play and mechanics aren't that great.
Activision had to make something with Crash or risk losing the licence so they could be under no obligation to make more. Its possible that this sells enough to get other Crash games remade or even a whole new Crash game. It does seem we are seeing a return of 3D platforming games which doesn't surprise me. Nt because they were good, but because its the natural progression from all the 2D platforming we have seen this gen...
I would be surprised if it does as well as the recent R&C though...
I don't know about this one. I'd be interested in gettting a good platformer, I just did not enjoy the uncharted 4 Easter egg as much as I thought I would. Is there enough variety in these games, or are most of the games similar to the seemingly "endless runner" style of the Easter egg?
I will be getting this because it is one of only two games my wife ever got addicted to. It may mean I lose my PS4 for a few weeks but it will be fun to have some sort of mutual interest rather then sitting in silence sighing like we normally do.
@Rudy_Manchego That last sentence cracked me up. Thanks to my own marriage experiences I have a very vivid picture of that situation. God I love a good sighing marathon. Ain't nothing like love in this world!
@PaperyWhiteBoy Lol - well, we still like mix things up. For example, my wife can now sigh at me wearing a VR headset and brandishing two light up sex toy toys in each hand while I swear at scary clowns.
@Rudy_Manchego My wife WAS the scary clown!
@Avenger1030 There's much more variety to the games than that one level shown in Uncharted 4! There are a couple of levels like that but most have you running into the screen, or from a side-on perspective. By the time you get to the third game, Crash's moveset has opened up a bit and there's levels containing races and even a fruit-firing bazooka
I never really liked the original games so I'm not excited for this release. I always thought that the Crash games were overrated. However, my 2 sons are very excited for this game. So we shall see.
Dqy one for me!
i have a comment formed into a question like. may i ask it if i have your permission, please. now, you said that Crash Bandicoot was coming to the Playstation 4, right... i want to know if it is actually discs like you put into your Playstation 4 or do you have to buy them on the Playstation Store.... in my own personal opinion i really don't like to buy stuff on there. the only things i buy from the store is Themes for mine Playstation 4, not digital games... i love the discs better. i am not saying nothing mean because i respect other people and their opinions.
THANK-YOU so very much
@SLYfan_100 you can pre order or buy it in stores bro
@CajDax thank you... i just don't like games that are digital and i don't know why... i am weird i guess...
@SLYfan_100 no problem and I understand buying stuff digital just doesn't feel the same as having the game in your hands
