Battleborn is pushing out its big winter update today, adding a load of new stuff to the hero based shooter on PlayStation 4. You can expect new modes, a revamped user interface, a Command Rank cap increase, time specific quests, and PS4 Pro support. According to 2K, "no part of Battleborn was left untouched by this update".
The aforementioned Pro support comes in the form of various frame rate and resolution options. Those who own Sony's supercharged system can choose between 1080p at up to 60 frames per second, or 4K at 30 frames per second. The former will also be made an option for regular PS4 users too, which is a nice touch.
The patch will go live at 14:00PM PST/22:00PM GMT, and if you'd like to peruse all of its finer points, be sure to click through here. The question is, though, are you still playing Battleborn? Try not to be too mean in the comments section below.

Are you guys updating the website? It's a disaster on my 7" tablet, and I can't get mobile view at all.
Wasn't this gaming going free or something? I just can't recall reading anything good about it. My kid still wants it.
And despite a lackluster launch, it's still a fantastic game receiving amazing support. The biggest downfall (if we're looking at the game and not it's release timing) was the 30fps lock.
Consider this goes on sale under $20usd all the time, fans of PvP multiplayer owe it to themselves to give it a shot.
It's a hugely underappreciated game, more people should try it.
@rjejr Practically. The season pass cost more then the actual game @ gamestop. They're selling it for $9.99. I thought about it at that price.
....season pass is $19.99 at gamestop
@dkxcalibur The season pass doesn't add a whole lot of value to this game. The 2 current dlc operations are fun and all, but the main value of the season pass is you can unlock the additional 5 characters for 'free'. If you wanted to unlock them without a season pass, you can do so with in game credits, but it takes a lot.
Sorry the game is horrible i loved the beta but the normal game sucks. Yes i own the game it ran terrible at the time no idea ik they fixed it. Not able tot change characters during the game also took a lot fun out of the game.
Maybe if it ever goes F2P I will look into it but the fact that it has such a low player base keeps me from paying any actual money for it.
I saw it for £3.49 in GAME the other day, it was both sad and funny.
@dkxcalibur "The season pass cost more then the actual game"
Yeah, I get a giggle every time I read about gamers hating "free to play" b/c of microtransaction but they are all so willing and eager to spend $60 on a game that has a $25 or $40 season pass. Soon all games will be free to start. Or as I like to call them, shareware. Back where we started.
Yay 👏 I've got this. Woo hoo. Pro support at 4k get in!
You can grab it off a shelf for like ten squids. Its basically overwatch without the blizzard fanboys.
With 60fps support this game just got a whole lot better. I preferred it over Overwatch any day, and I've played both extensively.
Well I hope the 8 people still playing enjoy it.
