What the hell? Hideo Kojima accepted his industry icon award during The Game Awards 2016 this evening, and then decided to bring the house down with a feature-length trailer for his brand new PlayStation 4 exclusive, Death Stranding. In the clip, we see Guillermo Del Toro and Mads Mikkelsen.
It looks more pretentious than the entire Metal Gear Solid series combined. And we love it. As an aside, Geoff Keighley confirmed that this trailer was captured in real-time running on a PS4 Pro.

Fragrance ad was spot on
Not sure how anyone could be hyped by something that vague and out there. We know it has rockstar hype levels, we know that Kojima said it won't fit into an existing game-type mould. We have no clue what the gameplay is like (assuming there is any), and really not much clue about the plot. Most teaser trailers give you all this information...
Honestly this looks like an out-there creative mind losing the structure it needed to actually produce something concrete and fun. Here is hoping I'm wrong.

Its interesting but i was kinda dissapointed to see the military presence. Just made it feel like more metal gear. I was expecting something very different. Guess we'll just have to wait and see
