We already know that Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy looks great. When the PlayStation 4 package was shown off during the PlayStation Experience last week, it actually looked way better than we ever thought it would - and that's because developer Vicarious Visions is rebuilding most of it from the ground up.
However, it wasn't until we gazed upon Eurogamer's latest video that we realised just how much of a graphical difference three console generations make. The publication places gameplay from the remastered trilogy next to the original release, and as you'd expect, the visual jump is gigantic.

That said, perhaps the most impressive thing about the N. Sane Trilogy is that despite looking like a completely new game on a graphical level, it's able to stick to the original's design so effortlessly - from the placement of boxes and hazards right the way through to Crash's delightfully dumb demeanour.
How do you think the new trilogy looks? Are you spinning on the spot right now? Collect some crates in the comments section below.

It doesn't look that good
I can't help but think the gameplay will still feel very dated. They were fun back in the day, but I'm not so sure they'll hold up to modern standards. We are talking 3 PlayStation generations here.
I like how the game looks, but I hate how it controls. I wasn't too keen on Crash as a kid. I was an edgy little jerkface unfortunately. Hopefully they continue to make sequels that are more on par with modern games.
This is awesome. It's spot on.
I mean... it'd kinda have to be a gigantic graphical jump, right?
I just hope they fix the vehicle handling in the sequels.
It looks good, but bit disappointed as to why the kept the "lives" system? It's a thing of the past IMO. Hope we see CTR later on.
@NathanUC Over the last 2 days I've completed Crash 2 and mid way through Crash 3 and gameplay wise I personally think they hold up brilliantly. Some of the most fun gaming I've had in a while
Can hardly tell the difference.
Looks great. I still throw in one of the three Crash games into my PS3 for old times sake.
@KingSimba I guess it's being kept in because it's part and parcel of the Crash games. They seem to be sticking as closely to the source material as they can in terms of gameplay. Removing the limitation of the lives system would sully the authenticity of the remakes, not to mention rob the games of much of their challenge.
Wholeheartedly agree on the CTR front! I'd love a decent kart racer on PS4
I think that goes without saying.
My brother used to love these games. I bet he'd like this.
@kyleforrester87 Well your vision can't be that good anyway, Big Boss.
@Giygas_95 Just trollin, like a boss. A Big Boss.
@Quintumply Ya, but I can imagine a future Crash game will be way different than this.
I like how the game looks and I was a big Crash Bandicoot fan back in the day. So I will be picking this up.
The new apple sounds are terrible.
Nice
@Constable_What the controls are looking considerably better in the remake judging by the side-by-side.
@itshoggie lol you can't be serious
@kyleforrester87 you're being sarcastic right
I still the original looks pretty good graphics-wise considering what other 3D games looked like at the time.
@NathanUC they controlled fine when I played them on Vita considering the first 2 games had to be played with the d-pad
@GlynCR Nah you can play Crash 2 with the analogue sticks on the Vita, don't think I'd have played it if I couldn't lol
While I'm happy to see Crash is making a comeback, I really don't care for the "updated" look of his character model. The graphics are okay, but I don't see much reason to play this over the originals other than simple convenience of having all 3 games in one bundle.
I'm cautiously optimistic but as someone who owns the whole trilogy already, I'm not too sure I'd consider buying it. Great for the younger generation who might've missed out though!
