Here's your spooky PlayStation VR horror title: Here They Lie has been confirmed for a 13th October release – and you may want to reinforce your underwear before strapping yourself into this madworld because it looks completely f**ked. The game – by the brilliantly named Tangentlemen – has been incubated by Sony Santa Monica, and if you think it looks spooky on a standard 2D screen, wait until you're strapped in.
Details are still pretty vague, with the PlayStation Blog post reading more like a piece of literature than a breakdown of what you can expect. But we quite like the idea of this remaining an enigma until it's beamed directly into our eyeballs, and we intend to make our way through the lunacy kicking and screaming in order to bring you a review.

I'm glad this is making it for launch. Less glad it's $60. So many VR games are at full pop despite our having been told that most titles would be between $20 and $30.
It's not that I think these games aren't worth $60. I haven't played them so how would I know? It's that because this is a new tech, barrier of entry should be as low as possible in order to entice people to dive in.
What bums me out a little about these full retail priced games is that they most likely won't have any decent sales for at least six months. Same thing happened at PS4's launch when the game pool was more shallow. There's no incentive to drop prices when you have less competition and you know that people are excited about the new tech.
@glassmusic Sorry, but where did you find out the price? I can't see it anywhere?
I don't see me hopping into VR just yet, but I hope VR will turn into the go-to place for horror games. It seems like such a natural evolution of the dying genre.
@get2sammyb I saw it on Amazon.

@SavoirFaire Horror games are one of my biggest reasons for wanting VR! I love horror movies and it seems like horror in VR (especially once on a PS4 Pro) is going to be far more immersive than any film could be. I can't wait!
@SavoirFaire Wait? The genre's dying? If anything there are more horror games around then ever before. The explosion of the indies kicked it off, established new trends within development, and we've had a whole host of titles come out in the last few years which are fantastic, and more on the way.
I do agree it's potentially a great genre for VR though.
@JoeBlogs Haha, it's a fair point! I lost my sanity long ago so I guess that explains my propensity for soiling my trousers via interactive entertainment.
Part of me loves the IDEA of horror games in VR. The other half knows that I'll have some sort of heart attack if I did play them.
