Are you eager to get into the Yakuza franchise but not sure where to get started? Series creator Toshihiro Nagoshi has hinted that SEGA wants to bring all numbered entries to the PlayStation 4 following the success of the first game's remake, Yakuza Kiwami. This means that the publisher wants to find a way to port Yakuza 2, Yakuza 3, Yakuza 4, and Yakuza 5 to Sony's new-gen system.
There is a caveat, however: the company doesn't have any firm plans to follow through with this ambition right now, and even if it did, there's no guarantee that they'd come to Western shores. With the excellent looking Yakuza 6 set to mark the end of protagonist Kazuma Kiryu's story, though, we'd love another opportunity to step into the orphanage owner's iconic grey suit in the future.

Remake 2, and port the rest in a bundle. Yakuza is a yearly series so I doubt anyone wants to be bogged down by endless remakes.
Never tried the games. Would gladly do if they localized Yakuza Kiwami.

Don't care one bit for GTA, but this I kinda dig more....
Thankfully, Yakuza 5 will be free with Plus on PS3 so good place to try.

Sega should remake all of yakuza games for ps4, one yakuza game every year from the date yakuza 0 arrived in the west.

I think if they release Kiwami in the west a lot of people would try them. Make it digital only if necessary. I'm really wanting to play but put off by the fact I can't play the first two easily
This would be smart of Sega as it would no doubt boost sales for Yakuza 0 as it can be hard and expensive to get the Yakuza games at least here in NA, not sure about Europe.
The first one is cheap usually going for $20 or less the second one however usually goes for $$90+ and the third one can be a bit hard to find as well. The only ones that are pretty easy to find are 4 and 5 and even though 4 has a recap where you can see what happens in the previous games I like many out there want to experience this series from the beginning on my own.
If anything maybe bring the first two out as part of the PS2 on PS4 game selections and maybe 3,4,and 5 in a remastery bundle kinda like the Borderlands Handsome Collection or the Arkham Collection.
Anyway I do hope there is some truth to this. I would buy them day one for sure.

I'd love to see series like Yakuza and Kingdom Hearts that have entries across multiple systems get PS4 collections in anticipation of their newest entries.

Yakuza 5 is one of my favorite games of all time so I'm all for more people having the chance to discover it... I also hope Kiwami gets released in the west and we get 2 and 3 on PS4 since I've only played 4, Dead Souls and 5
@BlaBlaBla no similarities between GTA and Yakuza - it's more Shenmue than anything else.
Loved Yakuza 4 and I'm getting zero at launch so I'm definitely up for some more entries. I'd be more than happy with ports so that we're not waiting forever for them to be released
Yakuza 1 and 5 are two of my all-time favorites so I'd definitely be down for this. Already have a physical copy of 0 pre-ordered.
I will buy anything yakuza as long as it's put into english.
Anything but Shenmue, eh Sega? Because it is easier to port 6 games than 2 somehow?
