We knew that last night's PlayStation 4 Slim leaks were legit – you don't get that many pictures from so many different angles without some level of authenticity. But as a few people have pointed out, in this age of 3D printers you can never be too careful. Digital Foundry decided to visit the person who purchased the console off Gumtree, then, in order to record a video of it booting up.

And here you see it: the console is 100 per cent legitimate. We're not sure how this console managed to leak, but it's real, and there are apparently more floating about in the UK. Everything we've heard suggests that Sony's planning to introduce the console in mid-September, with an announcement presumably due at next month's PlayStation Meeting. We'll keep you updated.

Update (23:45PM BST): Digital Foundry's decided to remove the video after seeking legal advice.
