Uncharted 4: A Thief's End PS4 PlayStation 4 1

Here's one thing we've learned from several years running Push Square: the Uncharted movie will never come out. The flick has been mooted since the beginning of time, and has had dozens of high-profile names attached to it, but it never really seems to get anywhere. Bad Boys III director Joe Carnahan is the latest to be signed up by Sony Pictures to plot out the live action adaptation of Naughty Dog's hit series. No wonder the division is always in the red…

Carnahan admitted that he'd like to direct the move as well as write it, but currently he's only signed up for the latter. "In a perfect world I would love to do both, but right now, I'm only on board to write the script," he said, adding: "Archaeology today is in itself an antiquity, but that world has always fascinated me. Especially when you go to a museum today and wonder how a piece got there to begin with. Plus, the property itself is so popular that it was hard to turn down an opportunity to work on it."

In addition to Carnahan, the likes of Charles Roven, Avi Arad, and Alex Gartner are all signed up to produce the movie, which… Well, doesn't have any actors on board yet. Principle filming was supposed to begin last year, but as is always the case with this project, it was pushed back. Just give it up – this movie is never, ever coming out.
