Good god! Just… What the heck do they put in the water at Naughty Dog? As promised, the developer has released a story trailer for Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, and you can practically see the dollar bills pouring off the screen. There may be a few spoilers in here if you're eager to remain fresh ahead of the title's April release – just know that some of the scenes here are stunningly beautiful.
This marks the start of Sony's heavy marketing campaign for the forthcoming sequel, with the company pledging "plenty more from now until launch". To be honest, we already feel like we've seen more than enough, but when a game looks this good… Well, we can understand the PR team's desire to get it out in the public domain. Stunning.

The naughty ones have done it again. THAT is next gen.
As amazing as this is going to be, I can't really justify spending ~93$ (after taxes and such) for a game that'll probably last me 9 hours or so.
Definitely going to get it down the road when it's cheaper.
This is going to be a little bit good isn't it.
I so want to watch it...
But if there are major spoilers, I'm staying away. As you say, we've seen plenty of Uncharted 4 already.
Can't wait to play this!
@Kellanved Why that much? I'm from Argentina, and buying the game online on the NA store I pay it the price on the list. Can't you buy it digital?
Wow... Looks very good. I'm staying away from the trailers on this game now, I've seen enough to tempt me.
Wow!
Wow.. Poor elena
I watched the video in 240p and it still looked wonderful...
@Kellanved I love the release date: two weeks after Dark Souls 3 means I'll ignore this for months because I'll be too busy with the Souls game. And in summer it would be easier to find a copy for less or used.
Next Gen begins when Naughty Dog says so
Watched that twice it is stunning, & just think people say there isn't a big step up this gen graphics wise. Uncharted 4 says otherwise...
Definitely don't need to see anymore Uncharted 4 footage until I've got the game.
To be honest, I am not surprised about the visual presentation of U4.I was blown away by Uncharted, then Uncharted 2. Uncharted 3 is still (in my opnion) the best looking game on last gen. I know the Last of Us is certainly a great looking game too but U3 had the edge because of the setting and environments and the Last of Us just isn't quite as 'beautiful' although its in keeping with the setting and environments.
Even from the first real game-play video I watched, it looked impressive. Admittedly the 'jungle mountain' sequence doesn't exactly showcase the level of detail I associate with ND but its still impressive. The 'market and Jeep' sequence though took it to whole new level. The view after open the door was a visual marvel but it just kept getting more impressive. The transition from that obvious cut-scene into the player control element is seemless and actually more impressive visually. Nate walks through a busy market full of detail before being ambushed. That 'ambush' though blew me away with the level of detail. From things going flying off of tables, Sandbags leaking from holes punched in them by bullets etc - amazing. The Jeep sequence is incredible too, from collecting a washing line, to smashing into things with impressive physics and people jumping out of the way - even the different surfaces from loose dirt/dust to water.
The new trailer- although more a compilation, is certainly a visual delight but it doesn't show a lot of the smaller details you would pick up from a singular sequence. It does showcase how incredible the character models are and we do get a few brief views of the locations but like I said it doesn't show some of the smaller details that playing these games in the past have left me breath taken - which is a good thing as I know when I get my pre-ordered copy on Day 1 (I have had this pre-ordered for a year+ now), it can still do this.
Its the game I have been most excited for this gen - Not just because its Uncharted, but also because its a Naughty Dog game! Their games are certainly better than the sum of their parts and I know visuals aren't everything but when they are as breath taking and incredible as ND games are, it certainly enhances the experience.
@get2sammyb Gotta tell ya, I know you've been pushing hard for Nate to end the game pushing up daises, but watching that trailer, feels like you're betting on the wrong Drake. That's based on way too many years of watching way too many TV programs, but that's how it feels. Maybe Sulley too, but I'm guessing Nate ends the game w/ his arm around Elena standing in front of a tombstone that says Drake on it.
Well that looks rubbish
@rjejr Still think he's a goner, but you may very well be right.
This game is too unrealistic. Who in their right mind would risk messing it up with Elena?
Just kidding, preorder ahoy.
Rather than some games getting a visual downgrade cough Division, this game seems to get better and better with each trailer!! The quality here is a testament to the talent at Naughty Dog. I tip my cap to you fine people
@JoeBlogs thanks, I was really proud of that comment
Obviously, the game looks insanely good.
I'm glad it was delayed, because now I have plenty of time to finish the trilogy! Looks awesome so far.
I've seen enough Uncharted 4 to make me buy it, so I'm not going to see this, but I would be disappointed in Naughty Dog if they didn't make this game stunning.
@rjejr Please, i will cry my b*lls off if i see elena crying.
first : OH my god what the hell was that ? i cant believe what i saw
second: why sony and naughty dog do this? they showed many trailers! why? i got spoiled i know i can dont watch trailers but icant
cant wait
Most trailers you see are done on the pc where the graphics look brilliant (the Division for example). Then when it appears on the PlayStation its been downgraded graphically to enable it to run at a decent framerate.
This on the other hand was designed only for the ps4 and should end up looking as good as the trailers. I loved the first three Uncharteds and cant wait for this one, but, I wonder how long it will be. I hope its longer than 8 hours.
I'm going to stay so focused next week on my holiday to get my back log done ready for this day 1
Pretty game looks pretty!
Lol @ the guy on YouTube saying Nathan Drake is going to take Leonardo's Oscar XD
@Kellanved 93? Where does it cost that much? New releases have been 60 for over 20 years in my.part of the world.
Skimmed through it. I'll get it for sure - I like these games, but I don't love them. It's certainly a looker though.
Bad guys in red bandannas as per. Can we get another trailer that shows him shooting a thousand people in the face until he gets some delicious loot.
Naughty Dog being naughty and using other people's work again. It looks like Naughty Dog used Assassin's Creed artwork for the new Uncharted 4 trailer
At least they were quick to change it. http://www.naughtydog.com/site/post/an_update_on_the_uncharted_4_a_thiefs_end_story_trailer

Yeah, nah, I'll be avoiding this. UC3's later trailers spoiled snippets of some pretty big moments.
@Kellanved 9hrs? I usually get around 15hrs. I guess you're paying Australian dollars, right?
Thankfully we in UK can get it for around £45 from a supermarket.
@DragonSlayer1759 I would imagine it will be much longer than 8hrs mate. It's their last Uncharted game. I got twice that length out of the previous games. I do play it on hard and I search for collectables but, im sure they're usually 12-15hrs even on normal.
I know The Last of Us was a different game but, it was also a Naughty Dog game and I got around 17hrs but again, I played it on hard. I play all the games I love on hard so as to make them last as long as possible.
Even though it seems obvious that Nate is going to die I don't think I am emotionally ready for it
Doesn't matter, drooling over Dark Souls 3. Seriously I think that the souls series has ruined all other video games, because they all pale in comparison.
Must. Not. Watch.
Me watching this.
@Kellanved $93? What's the sales tax in your state? Mine will be around $64 total. If you're in America that is.
I won't watch the video cause I don't wanna see any spoilers. I'll just take everyone's word that trailer looks great.
It looks truly breathtaking. I love still being blown away by graphics in this day and age.
I don't even consider a games length if I'm interested in it, especially story driven games like this. I'm a nook and cranny searcher in games anyway so they always last me twice as long.
