Vote to Play, the PlayStation Plus initiative which sees you selecting one of your Instant Game Collection freebies, is making a comeback next week. Starting from 9th February, you'll have the opportunity to pick one of March's free PlayStation 4 games, with Action Henk, Assault Android Cactus, and Broforce all up for grabs.
As with previous polls, the winner will be made available at no cost, while the losers will still score nifty little discounts. The selection this time seems to centre on the theme of multiplayer, with each option offering an opportunity for you to get together with pals. But which will you opt for? Let's quickly look at all of the choices in a little more detail.
Action Henk
A quick search for Action Henk reveals that this is one of those games designed with YouTubers in mind – but it doesn't look entirely awful. Joe Danger meets Toy Story, this lightning fast runner sees you assume the role of a down-on-its-luck action figure, and sees you butt sliding your way to success in nursery-style environments. Swift retries and fast times are the order of the day here, with a spot of online multiplayer sprinkled in for good measure.
Assault Android Cactus
A game that practically bleeds SEGA, Assault Android Cactus is a Dreamcast era-esque dual-joystick shooter, unsurprisingly developed by a group of ex-SEGA Studios Australia employees. Sporting couch co-op and some of the most eye-meltingly outrageous action this side of a Japanese mecha motion picture, this one will appeal to those who were raised in an arcade. The good news is that you don't have to insert a quarter each time that you want to play.
Broforce
We're sensing a pattern here: Broforce has also been played by virtually every YouTuber under the sun. They all make the same "joke" about the name, too. Original. Nevertheless, think of this game like Metal Slug crossed with a cross-trainer, and you'll be on the right track; it's a side-scrolling murder-'em-up inspired by ye '80s movies of old, and it promises to put hairs on your chest. Top-notch sprites, tight controls, and OTT action abound here.
Those are your picks, so it's time to come to a decision. Which game will you be selecting? Register your vote in our poll, and give us a little insight into your decision via the comments section below.
Which PS4 freebie will you be voting for? (168 votes)

I'll go for Broforce but might get AAC as well.
BROFOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORCE
I'll go for Broforce Bro's... No I actually think the gameplay of AAC looks quite fun and reminds me of Resogun but the art style puts me off, it reminds me of a kids programme. Broforce looks fun and appeals slightly more with all the action heroes. I'll be happy with one of the two, PS Plus gives me a chance to try out a game I otherwise wouldn't buy so it's all good. Action Henk looks like Doritos Crash course on a Toy Story track...
Assault Android Cactus is a Dreamcast era-esque dual-joystick shooter
The Dreamcast only had one stick....
Is there really a choice here?
Broforce. The game that perfectly encapsulates what my homeland is all about.
I cannot vote since I am not Plus, but I would definitely choose AAC, followed by Broforce.
@themcnoisy
Use the Virtual On peripheral then
You just made AAC sound very appealing so I went for that even though that wasn't the game i was going to vote for when I click on the article.
@themcnoisy BUUUUURRRRNNN
Probably the first month where none of the offerings interest me. I understand that plus is for INDY games now, just wish Hyper Light Drifter were up there instead, lol.
Ive never voted on one of these, so I'm not sure how much information is given to each player. Therefore, I hope everybody voting understands why AAC should make it. I'm crossing both fingers.
I feel bad for the Action Henk developers...
Are those real PS4 games? They sound like android apps.
Not making me want to vote, own a PS4, or sign up for PS+.
I'm at Target, just returned my $10 copy of KOA:R, so I can buy it online for $4 and pick up One Piece Pirates World Red for $5 while I'm at it. My PS3 may never be retired, it's the backlog that just keeps growing. Pretty sure I'll still be playing it long after my Wii U is boxed up.
AAC is in the lead? OH COME ON D:
Why make me spend money on BROFORCE? D: pls
Broforce for me, although all three look pretty good!
I'll vote Broforce
Assault Android Cactus for me, looks like a great co-op twinstick shooter. Own Broforce on PC and didnt dig it too much.
@themcnoisy True, but it just looks very 'Dreamcast' to me.
Broforce looks the least terrible.
Probably, Broforce but thats only because it has Rambo, the Commando and Mr. T on the cover.
Broforce. 4 Player coop Couch and online!
Assault android cactus is the only one I want to play. Alternatively I'll also happily pay for it when I have time.
Come at me Bro!!!
I'm torn between AAC and Broforce, Cactus looks to have the more interesting gameplay but I want to play as Rambo. Broforce it is
Yep Broforce for me...
Assault Android Cactus or Broforce. As long as Action Henk doesn't win, not my type of game at all. I'm leaning more towards AAC at the moment, but I want to make a more informed decision before properly voting. Would be interesting if the PS team did a more in depth face off on the three games.
None of them look that good so will not vote will leave it up to the community to decide.
@dryrain Maybe just close your eyes and pick at random? Seems a bit of a waste if you don't vote at all, maybe pick one that you'd try for 5 mins even. It might be worth voting just for the sake of the community to, by that I mean Sony is probably monitoring how many people vote to determine if it's a popular feature and if the should keep doing it, if low numbers are voting they might scrap the idea and you'll lose the chance to vote on a game you would like. In summary it's better to keep voting just to support the feature for the time when you will want a game you can vote for just my opinion at least
Broforce. Took one look at the art style for AAC and decided it's not my thing. Action Henk just looks abhorrent.
@get2sammyb Looks can be deceiving! AAC all the way.
Broforce.
Don't see me playing any of them if I'm honest, but my nipper liked the look of Action henk so that one gets my vote!
I'm not sure personally. Assault Android Cactus is probably more my cup of tea than the other two, but I'm not really fussed. Is Broforce meant to be good? The videos didn't look all that interesting...
Personally none of these games interest me at all but if I HAD to vote, I would pick Assault Android Cactus as its game-play looks more like the type of thing I would play.
Action Henk reminds me of Dorito's Crash Course - Not a game I got enjoyment from - and therefore would not be downloaded if it won. Its the best of the 3 visually and I do like a lot of the references to other games, films, TV etc in the backgrounds. Ultimately though its the game-play itself that I just wouldn't play - even for Free.
Broforce is by far the worst here visually and I really don't understand why, in this day and age, that games have to look so bad visually. When one person can make a game like Dust: An Elysium Tale (for example) and considering all the game development tools/engines etc available, indie developers insist on making a game look so dated visually. Its not as if the gameplay itself is particularly unique or innovative either. Maybe it saves some copyright issues as the characters are based on action movie stars but for a game that has very dated mechanics, it could have very modern visuals to at least give it a more modern feel.
Almost by default that leaves Assault Android Cactus. It appears to have more replayability - attempting to get S+ ratings, daily challenge and some interesting unlocks as well as the 4 player co-op - I know Broforce has 4 player co-op too. Its still just a twin-stick shooter though and its not as if I don't have alternatives that in truth I would rather play - Dead Ops Arcade 2 for example.
Action Henk looks like a lot of fun to me. I'm sad so many people are hating on it.
@sketchturner I agree, it looks the best out of them to me. That isn't saying much though...
Cactus n_n Broforce I tried but didn't like.
