Mortal Kombat X PS4 PlayStation 4 1

Mortal Kombat X has been one of the biggest sellers of 2015, so it's no surprise that NetherRealm has decided to extend DLC support for the fighter. And according to series creator Ed Boon, a new challenger will arrive during The Game Awards this week, with the release set to feature as one of Geoff Keighley's ten premieres.

It'll be interesting to see whether the developer dives back into the brand's archives, or cooks up some more crossover characters like Jason Voorhees. All we really know right now is that four combatants will be added throughout 2016, as Warner Bros attempts to profit on its best-selling brawler. Who would you like to face next?
