Amid all of the negative news surrounding the PlayStation Vita, we totally missed this: XCOM: Enemy Unknown Plus looks set to release on Sony's flagship handheld format. The game was rated by the ESRB earlier in the year, and now a full batch of Trophies have appeared on the web. A similar thing happened to fellow 2K Games published title Civilisation Revolution 2 earlier in the year, but that's still yet to release.
Clearly there's something brewing here, though, as the trinkets appearing on the Japanese giant's servers suggests that there's a finished game out there somewhere. Maybe the platform holder's waiting until Paris Games Week or PlayStation Experience to unleash these, but whenever they deploy, it's good news – especially in the wake of the platform holder's comments on the portable lately. Bring on the tactical action.
Update (19:00PM BST): As pointed out in the comments, it looks like this will come with the Enemy Within expansion pack as well. Good news!

Weee, so excited, going by the trophy list it looks like it has the full Enemy Within expansion as well. Which is great news as it really did double the fun.
awesome
Perfect game for the Vita, together with Civ were in my wish list for a long time and now they both seem to be coming for my little handheld!
@LieutenantFatman Good spot, I'll add that to the article.
@get2sammyb Haha, no problem, I am a bit of a super fan.
Hope it has the online PVP as well but not a deal breaker if it doesn't
I've never played any of these games, what should I expect if I pick it up?
@NomNom Awesome Turn based strategy ! Highly recommended !! I'm waiting for the sequel on 2016
@NomNom Turn based strategy, decent customisation of your squad, how they look and what weapons and equipment they use. Base management & resource management and some really fun fights. Some of the tech advancements you research are an absolute delight to use. Permanent death of your soldiers, so look after them!
Need to know more, search on reviews for Xcom Enemy Within. Pretty sure everyone loved it.
Nice - day one on vita?
Never thought I would see the day YES!!
Good new,s i guess ?
The game is pretty old and can be found for around $10 or less with the DLC included so pricing might be hard to do, and i doubt theres a vita owner that doesnt have a PC, 360, PS3 or even a Android/iOS device
Think I'll pick this up, great game. Wonder what price point they'll go for.
Now if only EA would do an NHL game on the vita...
Excellent! This and Civ Rev would keep me and my Vita firm friends for a long time
Aren't these from Mobile/Cell phones?
Would I be hoping for too much with a physical copy?
Ya, probably. Only JRPG's get physical copies anymore it seems.
Was literaly gona PS Now this on my vita, dont have to now!!
Defo buy. I loved this on PS3 and I never played Enemy Within.
I would have preferred a port of the Amiga game.
The Enemy Within expansion added a lot to the game. This is good news.Hope there's not too much slow down on the Vita, like the PS3 version!
Well now, some light at the end of Vita's tunnel. Never played this but I notice everyone's enthusiasm. I'll have to check it out.
@Vorlon I still have the game on floppy disc
@WARDIE No
If this game is well-optimized and performs well, it'll likely be in my Vita for months.
@themcnoisy Civilisation Revolution 2 is already on android and will be hitting Vita soon. I was thinking about getting it for my phone. X Com isn't on addroid, not sure about ios.
@WARDIE Its hopefully not a mobile port. X Com was originally a PC game. I have the original as part of a strategy ten game pack from the 90s. I may actually post it up when I get round to open an imgur account. The revamp was PC and console. Civ rev came out for 360 first, fun game - not a patch on full fat civilisation though.
@themcnoisy I have Civ IV on PC and I also had Civ Rev on the 360. While I did enjoy the console version it was nowhere near as good as the PC version. The only X Com game I have played was on the PS3. Definitely enjoyed it though. It will be interesting to see how it plays on the Vita.
Sweet yay!
@themcnoisy Me too! Space Hulk for Vita seems more like it.
