We're not going to deny that Nuketown was one of the more memorable maps in Call of Duty: Black Ops, but is it really so good that it needs to be remade in each new Treyarch title? Well, the developer clearly thinks so, as it's announced that NUK3TOWN will be available with Call of Duty: Black Ops III pre-orders on the PlayStation 4.
"This fan favourite map [...] has been re-designed from the ground up to highlight Treyarch's new momentum-based, chained-movement system, allowing players to battle in this adrenaline-charged new NUK3TOWN map," reads the blurb. "Set in the year 2065, players will experience a fresh take on this classic run-and-gun, close-quarters multiplayer map."
We just can't get beyond that name.
Update: Activision's just contacted us to let us know that the NUK3TOWN pre-order bonus will be available with pre-orders at GAME only in the UK. This means that you'll have to shop at the uber-retailer if you want the extra. Fortunately, those shopping in the US will not be limited to a single outlet, so you'll be able to pick your favourite.

I'm ok with this. It's just one map, and a dang fine one at that.
Yes, I'm definitely ok with this.
Nuketown on Black Ops 2 in 4-player local multiplayer was some of the most fun I've ever had in Call of Duty. Count me in!
"but is it really so good that it needs to be remade in each new Treyarch title?"
Yes. Yes it is.
Nuketown was never my favourite map - even the first remake. I must admit though I did enjoy the Nuketown Zombie map in BO2. Saying that though, its not the worst map either and I guess its still nice to get an 'extra' map. I do prefer re-skinned versions than direct 'ports' - something Treyarch have generally done well.
I grew sick of it after the first time, utterly mindless garbage - a bit like 9/10 of the Blops 2 maps. Most of the Blops 1 maps where great, any other one than this piece of excrement would be preferable.
It's a fun map so as long as this was just an extra map there throwing in I'm ok with it.
