Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain had a fairly substantial showing at E3 2015, but the hype train stops for nobody, so Konami has now released an equally extensive new trailer for the title. Cleverly, the clip sees Snake attempting the same mission as in the E3 demo, but using a completely different strategy.
Among other things, the video shows off a few new uses for the hoarse hero's famous cardboard box, as well as the ability to command his scantily clad sniper buddy Quiet. It also makes extensive use of director Hideo Kojima's now iconic sped up gameplay footage technique.
What do you make of this new demo? Do you like what you're seeing, or will you wait to reserve judgement? Press the action button, Snake, in the comments section below.

I don't personally care for the speed up mechanic, but since it's optional, I can just ignore it. Other than that, I'm super excited to finally have this game in my PS4 come September 1st!
It all looked very impressive, especially the Benny Hill mechanic
@Bad-MuthaAdebisi lol
Also what the feck is that bionic arm thing?
@Bad-MuthaAdebisi
Lol, coin that term!
I cannot wait for the Phantom Pain it's going to be excellent, the wait is almost over Snake.
@Dodoo I know, next he'll have a full suit which talks to him and can fly and it'll be codenamed Iron Snake (that'll get past copyright?)
It seems like they've just thrown as many weird toys as they can into the pot to see what strategies the players will come up with. I guess only a franchise like MGS can get away with that.
This gets better and better with each video. Look at that sweet swet freedom of gameplay. Use stealth of go guns blazing. You got enough toys for each play style. And best of all you can do mix styles. Day 1 for me
Also guys if you have MGS Ground Zeroes from the last months free games, you should really check out the app for it. It basically gives the iDroid in the game to your own hands, so you dont have to loseyour line of sight when trying to check the map or call a helicopter. I a sure they will make an app for Phantom Pain as well, it is gonna be epic
@Xalbador40 looking forward to my iDroid Pip-boy
This will be the first open world console game that runs at 60fps. Bravo Kojima!
its gonna be zoppity😉
If it also has the usual Kojima-isms you find throughout the rest of the series, the weird and wacky philosophising, the sense of fun that runs through it all, the knowledge that when you try something bizarre, Kojima already thought of it, basically the things that made the previous games genuine masterpieces... If it can do that AND have this amazing gameplay, this will quite comfortably be one of the best games ever made.
