Toy Soldiers: War Chest, the forthcoming PlayStation 4 tower defence-like title, will be welcoming some famous faces, as He-Man and G.I. Joe each join the make-believe battlefield. The bad news is that you'll need to pay a little extra for the licensed characters; the core game will come with four fictional factions for $14.99, while the aforementioned faces will be available as part of the Hall of Fame Edition for $29.99. To be fair, the latter will ship with a further two throwback brands.
You'll be able to buy the licensed armies on an a-la-carte basis if you prefer; they'll cost $4.99 individually, or $14.99 for the whole set. It'll be interesting to see what the rest of the pack includes – Transformers, perhaps? We're sure that all will be revealed soon, as this title is quickly closing in on its summer release window. This is actually a neat idea for a game.
@Splat These games were on the XB360 a couple of years ago. I've had some really fun mp games on it.
Good for girls, where is She-Ra now?
ok im losing my **** right now!!! when i was a little kid he-man was my favorite thing. still to this day i own EVERY character from the original toy line. doubles and triples of some. im not even kidding. this is the coolest thing since he-man!
@italodance yeah and skeletor and the evil hordak!
Will be picking this up if it plays OK!
BY THE POWER OF GRAYSKULL!!!
Sorry. Had to do it.
Really liked the original on 360 though this one looks a bit... weird...
I'd much rather some Thundercats before Transformers, make it so.
Toy Story and Small Soldiers should make it in.
There are more prices in this story than there are sentences! If they knew the premium content was what most people would be interested in, wouldn't it make sense to charge more but have them be part of the main game?
