Don't you just love announcements of announcements? Well we've got a corker for you today, as Ubisoft has announced that the next Assassin's Creed title will be revealed on the 12th May at 18:00PM CET. If our useless math skills are correct, that's 17:00PM UK time.
We already know quite a bit about the title, of course, as the Victorian adventure leaked late last year. Replay the teaser trailer that we've embedded over and over again, and then speculate like crazy in the comments section below.

Looks like Assassin's Order 1886.
Cool, i really enjoyed unity, probably one of only a few to. Looking forward to this.
I'm quite looking forward to this, even though I was so sick of Unity by the time that I'd finished it that I considered snapping the disc!
this franchise needs more downtime
If it had been China or Japan or even Hong Kong from 200 or 300 hundred years ago(like it should have been last time) it would be day one for me...as it is I'm not interested, not saying it's gonna be a crap game, I just think the periods I mentioned are more interesting and would make for a cracking assassin creed game... (Yes, I'm aware there is assassins creed China spin off)
Really, REALLY hoping they improve upon all that was complained about in Unity. This game needs to have a perfectly smooth launch.
Ubisoft made good on Unity's technical issues, but it took far too long.
Plot holes, however, were integral to the main story and were frankly unacceptable. It had SO much potential, but it ended up being one of the worst narratives in the series, in my opinion.
Loved unity. Love the franchise. Even the 2.5d stuff aint half bad but I'm gonna hold off and pick this one up cheap. These companies need to slow down that conveyor belt of chucking these games together any mish mash way. I still have stuff in unity that I can't complete due to errors. 7 nomad points and 1 nomad chest specifically. (Emails to ubisoft yield no change.) If they slowed down these game releases then they might just complete these games before they go out instead of after the cash has got into their pockets and the inclination to fix anything fades.
I was massively dissapointed with Unity, so I probably won't be getting this or any future Assassin's Creed titles. Also, I'm getting franchise fatigue like you wouldn't believe, so I'm also no longer buying COD anymore. Time to bust out something new, Ubi.
@get2sammyb
Ah, a love/hate relationship.
I haven't finished Unity, or played it for a long time. First of all Dragon Age Inquisition came along. And then came Bloodborne...
Bloodborne has taken over my playing time. Getting killed in Bloodborne is more satisfying than succeeding in Unity.
I think I may swerve this one. There are too many other, potentially better, games such as Persona 5, MGS5, The Witcher 3 and Uncharted 4. The new AC game has got to hit the heights that AC2 reached.
And there is still Bloodborne to finish.
@AyeHaley I agree.
Finished Unity but by the end was pretty much fed up with it, probably will pick this up looking forward to running around Victorian London but think they should do another black flag entry with that new engine they've been banging on about didn't think Unity did it justice with all the bugs...
I received an email from Ubisoft inviting me to a live stream of the next Assassin's Creed via there website on 12/5/15 at 17:00 GMT
@john_c Uncharted 4 has been delayed until next spring buddy.
I liked Unity =). But Ubi must stop filling optional content with generic stuff.
The tag "Announcements of Announcements" got a laugh out of me.
I'm still eagerly anticipating an Assassins Creed set within the void between universes
I really liked unity, but I'm definitely going to wait for a price drop.
@AyeHaley I couldn't agree more.
After the year that was 2014, I've decided to hold off on pre-ordering these megabudget annualized franchises, games like Assassin's Creed and Call of Duty (even though I have been a fan of both for many years). The fact Unity came broken didn't help matters (or the dozen other half broken multiplats we saw last year).
But ya, when it comes to this one and Black Ops 3, I'm definitely waiting this time. Other major multiplats I'll judge on an individual basis.
I broke that broken Unity game. I'm never buying another Assassin's Creed game.
I didn't think Unity was that bad.. Enjoyed how you could customise your assassin etc. However towards the end I couldn't be bothered with the bugs. Another thing that annoys me about Ac is the pointless chests/ collectibles they put in to fill the world. Really bores me. I'll probably do what I usually do and just wait to see reviews/ if it looks good.
Eh felt pretty burnt on unity I'll be waiting a while after release.
For me franchise fatigue has kicked in big time and Ubi haven't managed to top AC2 still imo...
This will have to be something very special to make me pick it up this year...
I was playing through the main trilogy always hoping to be an assassin in modem times, we got a small taste, but not the whole thing. It also got really stale.
The last Assassin's Creed.game that I played was Liberation on my Vita. I don't think they'll ever make a better game than ACII though.
It has to be playable from day one for me to be buying it, I still haven't played unity because it is buggy.
I enjoyed Unity but having pre ordered it I was pretty peeved having to wait for patches in order to be able to play it. So with that in mind I will be waiting for a price drop before buying this title. I'm not getting burnt again.
