A date that editor Sammy Barker has no doubt already circled on his calendar, Until Dawn is launching exclusively on PlayStation 4 on the 25th August. The cheesy horror story plays out like an interactive movie, where your decisions and potentially disappointing reflexes can shape the plot, as characters die and desperate romances blossom.
You don't have too long to wait, then, and in the meantime, you can get an eyeful of the jump scare simulator courtesy of a fresh trailer. It's a short one, but we reckon that it sums up the game's somewhat corny atmosphere really well.

Ugh. 8/25 is already too expensive with Madden 16 & One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 coming out that day. I can't afford 3 games on the same day so I'll have to figure something out.
I'm interested but not at full price. It is going to take some really good reviews for me not to wait on a price drop.
@Splat Yeah me too. I'll probably wait for a discount on this one providing it's not complete garbage of course!
I'm in the mood for being spooked so hopefully this'll do the job
one of the few first party PS4 titles I'm interested on
I'm still not convinced, will keep the money in the wallet till I read some reviews on it! I'm just hoping it's not too linear of a game, and we follow one character knowing they won't die, I want it so everyone is expendable but if you choose right all can survive kinda thing! Don't want any scripted deaths you can't change! But I'm not gonna hold my breath with that! :/
Nice. Always thought it'd be a Halloween week release but hey no complaints. This one is a maybe.
I'm keeping my eye on this one. I'll see what they show of it at E3.
Also, does anyone else think character animations look a little...off? I'm not sure how to describe them.
I can't wait to pick this up!
When it's $30.
With Silent Hills being cancelled, literally the only horror game I'm looking forward to is the next installment of Outlast. Hopefully this turns out good though, so I will have a horror game to play this year with my friends in a dark living room.
Looking forward to this one as well as Batman and PGA. Combined with Witcher 3, that makes one anticipated game a month through Aug. - much better than last year.
Looks like it could go one of 2 ways. I hope it ends up being great but can't help feel its going to be cliched and poor....
Time will tell....
Looks like it's going to be great fun. Best Supporting Role Award this year is surely going to be won by that towel.
But I thought there was gonna be no first-party titles this year now with Uncharted being delayed....
