Call of Duty: Black Ops III's pack shot will pay homage to its predecessors – despite the fact that its seemingly ditching the Cold War for, er, advanced warfare. The cover – which has leaked onto Reddit ahead of the release's big weekend reveal – shows a suited soldier equipped with all kinds of technical wizardry sitting slumped in front of some Roman numerals.
There are a couple of things that we can glean from the art work: the helmet appears to come equipped with some kind of visor, suggesting that you'll be able to use various nifty vision enhancements, while the weapons have ammunition indicators on the sides of them. Presumably this means that Advanced Warfare's in-game HUD will make the jump.
We should find out a lot more later today, when Treyarch is set to blow the doors off its hotly anticipated title.

Its a pretty forgettable piece of artwork. That said I wonder what box arts everyone remembers?
It has a certain similarity to the previous Black ops games and all CoD games(that I can recall) have a single soldier prominent on the cover. MW's soldiers are stood but Black Ops has them sat down. The pose is more like the original Black Ops
Not a fan of future warfare, was kinda hoping they'd go back to the Cold War setting.
They're bringing Exo Suits back again aren't they :'-(
Oh dear...
@itshoggie no
@BAMozzy they basically are...
@itshoggie Not at all. There is a lot of differences too. AW was all about the movement and this affected the way the game flowed. The movement in this is more about the shooting. You cant double jump up over a building for example so the maps flow. The thrust jump isn't like a boost jump which is instantaneous and shoots you straight up in the air, a thrust jump starts off slow and builds up. Its more designed to help you get around the map easier with auto mantling too so you don't need to climb ladders and be vulnerable. It can help you do some more crazy moves than a traditional CoD like a bit of wall running or knee sliding but you also keep control of yur weapon. According to Drift0r and Tmartn who played it, they say it plays more like Black Ops 2 than AW and that the movement can be more disadvantageous as it can leave you a sitting/floating easy target. Its more of a higher risk but higher reward if you are after an epic youtube video. By that I mean the type of video that will make it to youtube but more often than not those that play it in the traditional way will end up with the better scores. This is different from AW and its Exo-suits. If you do the research first it may help
@BAMozzy I get what you mean, but my problem with it is the actual jumping/thrusting etc. I just wish it was basic like COD before AW, I couldn't get into the whole Exo suit thing if I want a fps with double jumps/jet packy type things then ill just stick with Destiny. The only thing interesting me here is Zombies but I still doubt ill buy the game.
The thing is, its not Double jumps like AW its more like Black Ops with a bit more Parkour. The 'thrust' is to help pull off different moves for the Parkour element not to double jump over a building. When you press the button to jump, you jump just like previous games but if you then press the jump button again and hold it you 'slowly' build up 'thrust'. you don't suddenly double jump but more hover and slowly rise as you build up more thrust.
In AW, the emphasis is more on movement and mastering the exo suit and pretty much everywhere can be reached. If there was a river, you don't need a bridge to cross as you can double jump over it. In BO3 you need a bridge to either walk across or you could try a more risky run along the side wall (if it not too far across and you time everything perfectly) if the road was too heavily defended but still need the bridge. This still maintains the flow as you know exactly where the enemy are coming from where as AW can cross the river anywhere. This is an example but not an actual case (as far as I know) that illustrates the difference. If you play Domination. you are not going to have to have eyes in the back of you head or worry about being boost slammed and will have a good idea of where the enemies can be. You don't need to check every roof or worry if someone is going to boost jump over the wall behind you.
Obviously its not exactly the same as previous CoD's but has more in common with those but with more Parkour to make the movement in general more fluid. The areas you could reach in previous CoD's are the type of areas that will be reached by this new movement.
You could always pre-order from somewhere like Amazon that doesn't require a deposit and give it a try in the Beta - I have done just that myself....
