Eidolons, or, for the uneducated, big summoned monsters, have been a staple of Final Fantasy for an age now, and they're back for Final Fantasy Type-0 HD.
Bringing them to the battlefield allows you to take control of the huge beasts in order to mow down your foes. The gameplay that we've embedded, which is a part of the Square Enix Plays series, showcases the fiery Ifrit, the elegant Shiva, and the devastating Odin. Each spirit comes with its own set of abilities, and, as you'd expect, they can turn the tide of combat. The twist here, though, is that you'll have to sacrifice one of your current team members to summon them into action.
Are you ready and raring to go when Type-0 HD releases later this month? Summon your favourite beast in the comments section below.

Diablos looks OP, cool as hell, though.
Awesome! cant wait for this and BloodBourne gonna be busy at the end of March
I'm trying my hardest not to look at anything at all about this or ff15 so I can just get lost in a new final fantasy like I did with all the previous ones except 12 and 13.
March is definitely a good month for game releases. Between this, Bloodborne, and Borderands Collection, I'm going to be pretty busy with my PlayStation 4 this month.
Can't wait.
Where's doomtrain? Hearing ifrits a playable character is enough for me to buy.
@themcnoisy If we're lucky, there'll be a Cactuar themed Eidolon, too.
@ShogunRok funny that, my favourite summon was cactuar off ff8 and finding / beating him was pretty ace. However the first time I saw Ifrit in ff7 it blew my mind - literally one of the wow moments In gaming.
I still want this to appear on the Vita ; _ ; I don't foresee a PS4 in my near future.
@ShogunRok @themcnoisy Knights of the Round Eidolon - 13 player co-op session for the duration of the casting......
@SteveButler2210 THIS!
